Matt for Vernon. Dixon not back in.

Jones back for Hooper too, which I'd forgotten had happened.

Tactics wise, it'll be interesting to see if we keep Matt or jones upfront when they have a corner. You know, basic football.

In his three stints as Grimsby Town manager spanning over 10 years the club was never relegated and he also guided them to three promotions.
Only 14 managers have reached 1,000 matches in charge of a Football League team by 1998 and Buckley is one of them.

A goal at home at last.
Great work from Jones to set Matt up.

Highly rated at Plymouth. Manager froze him out and their fans couldn't understand why. Had a bad injury too. From what I've been able to see, he's quick, strong, decent in the air and can pass the ball but.. I guess in RS's eyes, he's not Nathan Clarke..

Me and MadeleyMariner are in actual shock. But look what happens when you press high and pack a team full of pace and attack!

I don't mind Roy Keane making £60,000 a week. I was making the same when I was playing. The only difference was I was printing my own - Mickey Thomas

The area you are trying to protect at corners is the goal - Chris Kamara

Can only hope this spurs Matt on in particular. Strikers lose the knack of scoring but rediscover it after a goal or two.
Come on, let's have two.

Wait for the equaliser, then wait some more for their last minute winner ,closely followed by watching the fishy going into complete meltdown.

What an equaliser. No one at fault what a strike

Defender should have closed down quicker. Given far too much time to shoot. Decent strike to be fair but under no pressure at all..

Any balls at pace played back to the keeper have the potential to end up in the back of the net, school boy stuff and not closing down the lad for their first goal is criminal.

The only thing worse I can remember than that mess from Macca is Forecast being chipped from like 6 yards out when he's 6'6. All Macca had to do was catch a ball heading straight at him.

intercourse me on the way in the car it was 1-0 get in here we are 1-2 down.
Funny old game is football

In his three stints as Grimsby Town manager spanning over 10 years the club was never relegated and he also guided them to three promotions.
Only 14 managers have reached 1,000 matches in charge of a Football League team by 1998 and Buckley is one of them.

If we lose playing like this then I will be disappointed, but at least I'm being entertained and seeing us have good attacks, players in the box for when the ball gets there and some great passing moves on and off, Come on Town keep the pressure on we can beat these, they have a worst defence than us looking at the game so far.

How many season tickets did we sell? If there’s 3023 there and 199 from Swindon, surely there’s almost less town fans the the number of ST holders?

Watching that I wouldn't of cared much about the actual result win draw or loss, I saw entertaining attacking football. Brilliant we've won, shame it keeps Slade in the job one more week.

I don't mind Roy Keane making £60,000 a week. I was making the same when I was playing. The only difference was I was printing my own - Mickey Thomas

The area you are trying to protect at corners is the goal - Chris Kamara

A bit of everything in there! The good, bad and ugly all in 90+minutes. An early goal, some very lax play to almost throw it away and then an ACTUAL fightback and a late winner!

Great result, not sure what it means in the long run if we can't get some momentum going off the back of it but a great score, well done Town.

Well done lads. Just the response you would have wanted from the team after all the negativity surrounding the club at the present time.
A turning point in the season? Let's hope so! #UTM

Great game that. We had a right go from start to finish and fully deserved the win. Quite a few season ticket holders near me stayed away, they missed a corker.

well, I'm really pleased for the 3 points, but.... Last season ,Bignott got the sack for winning at Blackpool, when nobody expected it. Slade needed to win tonight and did, but I still want the guy sacked, but I doubt it, his seat is still reserved at Fentys xmas day table. But a great win lads, a very much needed 3 points against a good away team. Maybe you've saved relegation, but unfortunately saved the bosses job. Don't have nightmares tonight, I know I will.

Great win, good football at times if only we played with this intent against the dross in this league. Always said Slade was a good manager
Seriously, pace, attacking intent, getting players into the area usually gets goals even if you dont win, Better than being bored to death and you dont win.

Fighting to the end suggests team spirit is not too bad, especially as we probably didn’t deserve to be down. Positive
team selection also helps.

Tipsy turvy league we are still 9 points clear of relegation, thanks to Barnes last minute winner, but only 4 points off the play offs

Had to rely on my phone buzzing in the second half - that false 3-3 nearly sent me over the edge! A topsy turvy win the type of which we've not seen for a while - must've shown real character that second half. Get in! Hopefully not just a flash in the pan and we can back it up on Saturday

And just for you, Rodders

Russell appears to be a slow learner - but hopefully the Jones - Matt striker pairing will be persevered with. These guys will push in to the opposition half, more so than any pairing involving Vernon. Looking forward now to a few more goals.

Good to get that result. Even better to get the performance.

The romantic in me wants to think that was our Alex Ferguson FA cup moment. The realist isn't so sure.

This is a very poor league and it was the same last Season only Donny have really given us a hammering at home since we came up the rest when we have lost have largely scraped a victory or been handed it via a mistake. We could easily make the play offs we could slightly less easily get relegated it`s that kind of league in my opinion? I have no idea what to expect game to game but if I see the effort and end product like last night I am sure most people including myself will be far happier and will get behind the Team/Manager despite any misgivings. For a small crowd the players got backing from all quarters last night and you could see the delight from all concerned at the final whistle but more importantly at half time when 1-2 down standing ovation.I never heard anyone boo Vernon either and if they did I am disgusted and his late cameo was good enough for me.

I heard people booing from the ponny and people couldn't make there mind up if they wanted slade in or out last night. Great game I thought and a welcome win against a team in the playoffs

I was in the Main at the Osmond end and all the fans at that part of the ground got behind the team from the off probably because of how we started the game.Slade and Wilko both animated most of the game you could clearly see how much the win meant to them I just hope they both analyse the performance and decide to give the system and style a run of games.

We had more pace in the team and it caused them problems there second goal was a freak it could of easily finished 6-3 to us. Great game
