Berrett and Summerfield have probably been our most consistent performers - that speaks volumes for the rest of the players, as those two playing at their best are probably average performances for the playoff teams!

Slade was left with several decent players in Jones, Osborne, Collins, Davies and Mills. He’s filled out the rest of the squad with shite like Dixon, Clarke, Woolford and Hooper. He has also continued to play average performers such as Vernon and the midfield two. His only two decent signings have been Dembele and Jaiyesemi.

The team that played Exeter had an average age of 30. THIRTY! Take out Dembele and Jones and it’s 31. What the intercourse is that about.

We haven’t got the players to play long ball because they aren’t strong or quick. We haven’t got the players to play passing football because they aren’t good enough on the ball (except Dembele and maybe Summerfield). So what else are we supposed to do?

Finally, what the hell does Karleigh Osborne have to do to get a game?!

Good point about the age thing but would say that Collins has not exactly been blameless this season (lost his man on Saturday). Regarding your point about being good enough on the ball, my thought is that you can only pass the ball to a colleague in space and our front players don't work hard enough when they haven't got the ball - they seem to be waiting rather than moving. DJ improved that aspect on Saturday but he's far from the finished article whereas Vernon just looks finished.

I’d agree with that, but then reiterate that because Collins and Clarke are making consistent mistakes, surely Osborne needs to have a chance.

I’d also agree with the lack of movement but then that goes back to tactics. The middle is far too deep, the forwards are always with their backs to the goal so we don’t play through balls and all of our attacking play comes from the wing. It just shows that none of our players are fast - Dembele and DJ are quick off the mark but get caught up with due to their little legs

Clements was a good player for us last season as his excellent goals return from what was a mostly defensive midfield role showed.

No idea why Slade is looking to get rid or if Clements still has some issues this season, but he's certainly a very capable player at this level when he's on his game as his record here and elsewhere shows.

Said it before and I know people disagree but I saw nothing in Clements last season to suggest he was anything more than a bang average League 2 player

Even if you were right (which in my opinion you’re not).  It would still make him as good as what we have now.

The wife was going away for a girly weekend.
I jokingly remarked  'I don't know whether to spend it watching porn or watching football'
'you may as well spend it watching porn' she replied
That's understanding darling what makes you say that? I asked

She said 'Well you already know how to play football'

Why have we started a post having a pop at a player who is out on loan?

FFS leave the lad alone to try and get his career the kick start it needs, he's working away from his family every day to try and move forward give him some credit for that at least.

Four goals in 16 appearances from central midfield is rather better than bang average. In fact, it's only 2 goals less than all our other central midfielders combined managed last season.

More worrying is that this season, all our central midfielders together have scored just 2 goals (both Rose), one of which was a penalty. Pretty rubbish. I'd imagine Clements would have bagged a couple if he'd been playing.
