Wishing the youngsters all the best tonight - do it for Cam!

Just paid £5 for my Mariners TV coverage, and hope many of you will either be going to BP or tuning in. They really do deserve to have a good crowd in attendance tonight

PS 7PM kick off, don't forget!

Coventry away if we win,  they beat Barnsley.

Interesting that Div 2 clubs have been doing very well. We beat the 2022 FA Youth Cup finalists (Forest).

Swindon beat The 2022 Youth Cup winners (Man United).  A 2-0 win in round 4, earlier this month.

Nervy start, millwall already had goal disallowed for offside. Gone positive with grayson Giles n cam gardener up front

I’m currently balls deep in spreadsheets so unable to watch, however the commentary is available for free on Mariners TV, if anyone’s interested.

Town have had much the better of it. Just struggling to take the chances. Fantastic mazy run and cracking 25 yard effort from Clements who has looked a real player on both games. Socks round his ankles and a real swagger.

We are impressively creating good chances,  not taking them,  keep it going.  We are moving the ball around well.  At pace and first time on occasions,  good at robbing the ball in midfield,

Thought we were ,understandably,  nervy for first 10 or 15, but weve settled down n playing some good stuff, whilst retaining the tenacity, tackling n discipline from the forest game. Millwall are a different proposition to forest, better team, worse individuals

0-0 half time. Town the better side, millwall had a good 5 minutes.
Really impressed with these young men.

Pretty good all round, keep it up lads

First time I’ve seen these lads play and can definitely see that the influence of Buckley is coming through Woodsys coaching. Really impressed with the standard , great passing and movement. With a bit more composure we’d be at least 1-0 up . Town the better side after a very nervy first 10 minutes.

If you've listened to any of 1878/Artell's interviews you'll know the plan is to get the whole club in sync in terms of playing style, from the youth club to the main team. Makes it easier to make the transition. We're probably seeing the beginnings of that.

What happens in the event of a stalemate after 90 minutes? Straight to pens or a replay?

Refreshing to see we’re not playing the out from the back tippy tappy defensive suicide then if that’s the case !! Worked well for Middlesbrough last night 🤣

Millwall have taken their few chances well.  We have played very well but lacked composure near goal.  Passing very good,  We have been confident.  Love the direct running at goal.

We were the better team in the first half.  Millwall much the better team in the second half,  not missing any chances.

Pleased for the lads to have got a consolation as 4-1 sounds a battering which it wasn’t. Difference was second half a couple of Millwall players Massey and heywood stepped up a couple of gears and we were left chasing a few times which led to goals .
Can’t fault the quality of passing in tight areas to start attacks . At times we made it look easy playing triangles around them .
Impressed with Rm Henry Brown and GK Orton

Worth remembering that a majority of our lads are 1st year, unlike millwall, n it's their first game for c 5 weeks, plus the circumstances they found themselves in; must've been v tough to deal with

A good performance that the scoreline doesn't do justice to, Millwall were just too clinical in that second half. The lads gave it everything and can be proud of their performance.
