I see Sutton Utd have signed a Fulham rookie deemed a target man on loan who banged in 9 goals in 23 games upto January 2024 in a team 2nd from bottom of the National League, although most of his goals came against teams in the bottom half of the table >> https://uk.soccerway.com/players/oliver-sanderson/572614/

Mo Faal scored nine goals in 33 games with Doncaster, he wanted to go back to West Brom, and now ended up on loan at Walsall. Grant McCann wanted to keep him till the end of the season. Joe Ironside is their top scorer with 13 goals, everyone else with no more than 3 goals, although they did sign Billy Waters on loan >> https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/teams/doncaster-rovers/top-scorers

Really?

Hasn't quite worked out at Burton but that would be some move for Barrow, especially as whilst having a couple of decent strikers there they're not really scoring like a promotion side would (don't concede many though).  If Stockton replicates his previous form and adds that dimension to them, wouldn't surprise me if they can upset the top 3 come the end of the season.

Hibs mate says he had a big injury and hasn't been the same since, good signing if he can get back to his old form.

Doidge is FGR all time record scorer.  66 goals in 122 appearances.  He is only 31.  Even if he has been injured,  it is a signing of intent.  Permanent deal.

Tshimanga has done a full circle and returned to Boreham Wood from Peterborough.

From the NL BBC web page

Boreham Wood have re-signed forward Kabongo Tshimanga on a short-term loan from Peterborough United.

Tshimanga, 26, returns to the club having played for them from 2019 to 2021 after which he joined Chesterfield and later the Posh.

Honestly think that leg break did for him, doesn't seem to have ever really got going since.

He's dreadful teams must just sign him for the height factor , he's no Peter Crouch for sure .

League Two promotion chasers Notts County have signed striker Alassana Jatta from Danish top-flight side Viborg for an undisclosed fee.

The 25-year-old Gambian moves to Notts County on a two-and-a-half-year deal from a club owners Alexander and Christoffer Reedtz also have a majority share in.

Thatā€™s an interesting one. Took in a Danish top flight game four or five years ago when working in the Jutland town of Herning (home of FC Midtjylland). The standard was pretty good (probably Championship level-ish). From a quick Google, Jattaā€™s a unit at 6ft 4ā€ - could be real handful. Wonā€™t be our problem this season, at least.

I would say Scottish championship level is generally lower than NL or certainly bottom half level, given that players often go straight from NL to Scottish prem. Didn't Craig clay and David tait do that after leaving us?

Having looked I think it's safe to say it's a step down from NL for him, he didn't score for Bromley so Luton trying to find his level.

If you need evidence of that, Mad Gav Gunning was pretty much Greenock Mortonā€™s Andy Todd at Scottish Championship level.

Jay Matete on loan to Oxford.

Great signing for them. Pretty much the only player of that 20/21 season I was disappointed to not see live in person, other than Danny Preston of course.

Swindon unable to pay transfer fees, loan fees or compensation this transfer window

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/68146743

Don't know if they intended to do any such business today but we're banned from it due to late HMRC payments.

Dropping like a stone weren't they but think they got a win at the weekend didn't they?

Yeah saw something about a transfer fee ban or something (HMRC related) but still managed to sign a few players.

Ah yes, its just a couple of posts above hahaha

Thought this was an early April fools. Seems he's been on loan at Southport in the National league north, but in and out of the side. Preston let him go to give him a chance to sort his career out. Actually signed for Burnley U21's on a deal to the end of the season. Don't think he'll be lighting the premier league up in the every near future but at least the lad has a chance
