Would be good if Hurst got the Salford job .He could then take some of the shite he brought here .He obviously thought they were good players .Would be a win win for us .We would be rid of them ,and they would help relegate Salford

Would have thought he'd be favourite for the Hartlepool job, unless he's waiting on another L2 offer.

If he does they’ll finish higher than us.

Hurst won't go there whilst he's got another 18 months of full pay without having to work. It'd get him off our wage bill though, so that'd be nice.

I take it from all the red crosses people on here think the players he brought in were good and would not like to see them leave .It's all about opinions .But I for one would not be unhappy to see half a dozen go

Hartlepool better fit all round for him. He’d get them into the playoffs next season

That's not how it works.
The severance pay has been made, he's not on the books anymore.

Often when a manager goes they still get paid monthly until it runs out or they get another job. Might differ from club to club though.

In the words of Kieran Maguire, "it depends" on a number of things. He was discussing the Rooney sacking yesterday and said it's unlikely that he will get the balance of his 3.5 year deal. What Kieran did say yesterday though, was that there is usually an obligation within the settlement that the person must be actively looking for alternative employment.

I know for a fact Paul and Chris were written cheques as final severance.

Don’t you just hate statements like that ? Did you write them ? Are you the local bank manager that Paul  paid them into or was you sat in the pub having a pint with Paul and he pulled the cheque out his wallet and Waffed it under your nose

It would be unusual to receive the full payment at once…..
