Think I'll watch something less disturbing so "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" it is.

Sorry to say that Waterfall is past his sell by date, been a great servant, but watching him on the 6 goals is depressing

Absolutely shocking i don’t know how the players can justify a start in the next game except Rose.

Why didn't we take a yellow and haul the player down for their first?

Awful defending for most of them, the players just look like they are going through the motions running alongside the player with the ball. Nobody says anything after any of the goals, it's absolutely spineless.

I feel for our young keeper with that lot in front of him.

Agree with that last part. When we are attacking, some players are really half hearted getting back. I don't see much "he's going to him, so I'm going to cover that gap". Some look like they're running because they will get in trouble if they don't, not because they're busting a bollock to make sure they're on the end of that ball. Glennon is great attacking, but sometimes looks like he's treading on treacle when getting back. Mullarkey looks like "not my problem, but I gotta run, dude". Conteh looked quite casual. I'm not fully blaming him for the penalty in terms of behaviour, I think he misjudged that one and knew he copulated up. Holahan multiple times has looked like "intercourse it, not gonna make it anyway", not that he was playing today, but I'd seen it enough that I know he's not even a solution to our problems, even if he does come up with some attacking magic, but he's battling with Conteh and Hunt for the advanced spot. Waterfall pace wise, just isn't there. Cartwright can do some great stuff with his feet, but sometimes seems to forget he has hands he can use.

The more I see defending like this, the more I want Green and Clifton in the middle, Conteh ahead, because I cannot trust our defence without 2 holding midfielders. If anyone wants to take them out of the side, they have to work harder. I've never seen Efete with body language like Mullarkey, so he'd be starting. Amos's body language previously means I'd still favour Glennon, but left back would probably be a priority for me personally in Jan.

I think what we see here is an opportunity for the youngsters, because if they bust a gut, they deserve a chance.

I think many won't agree with me here, but when I look at the squad, and what I've seen over the course of the season, I'd probably Keep Efete, Rodgers, Maher, Clifton, Green, Rose, Hunt, Wilson, Pyke, Glennon. Though starting line up wise, I think I am only really thinking Clifton, Green, Rose, Efete really justify a starting birth right now on the basis of off the ball work. That is a ridiculously low amount IMHO. We're seriously short of grit, and as a result, it feels like that isn't the culture of the team. If 3 people are working their balderdash off, it looks like the exception, when 8 are, people think "if I don't, am I going to be in the team?".

If there is a positive, and there has to be one sliver of positivity, it’s this. We’re halfway through the season, we have a transfer window to hopefully recruit a number of players, that showing yesterday makes it pretty clear some players simply aren’t up for it and never will be. Time for DA to really earn his money. We’re are fighting relegation and only fighters will do.

I don't know why he didn't bring Morecambe and Wise on in the second half subs.

Jesus.  That's even worse watching it back.

First goal Waterfall needs to take one for the team.  He messes up by getting himself in a position where a far quicker player has the legs on him so take the hit and bundle him over early on the touchline.  He doesn't but he still has the chance to clip him outside the area.

Second goal is just excrement all round.  Too easy down the left, Conteh just lets his man ghost past him. Waterfall's header away isn't good enough and as per the final 65 minutes of the game we don't win the second ball.

Third goal how the hell is Johnson in that much space to receive the pass?  What is that attempt at a tackle from Maher?  What the intercourse are Waterfall and Mullarkey doing, looks like a excrement version of Dancing on Ice.

Fourth goal - that's just excrement from Conteh.  Type of lazy approach that is seeing him very quickly look like a player who has all the attributes but no way near the application to make it even at this level.  More than anyone in the side, he needs a proper rocket up his bottom and to ask himself how badly he wants this.  Because at the minute he looks like he doesn't really care.

Fifth goal is pathetic.  That delivery isn't even that good and a well organised set-up clears that before it even gets close to danger.  Can't even work out what's going on after that Waterfall seems to duck under the ball and no-one reacts other than the Walsall lad.

Sixth goal is just embarrassing.  Highlights don't do justice how quickly our attack was turned over.  I know the game was gone and heads had dropped but at least five players just jogging there.  Easy ball down the line, easy ball in to the middle and easy finish.  Lack of professional pride there over everything else.

Outsiders will look at that scoreline and think Walsall battered us.  They went near our goal six times and scored six times.  If they had gone near our goal fifteen times they would have scored fifteen times. Defensive strength of a wet paper bag yesterday.  Said to my old man on the way home, more than anything else we lacked someone out there to grab a few players by the scruff of the neck and install a bit of fear in them.  I'm a big believer in building up confidence and seeing where it takes people, but sometimes it needs something much firmer.  Artell was far more polite than I think he probably wanted to be post game.  Cartwright, Green and Rose aside, he could have slated all of the heart (or lack of it) and not one of them could have grumbled.

Most disappointing thing is that it's quite obvious when a new manager comes in, especially close to a transfer window, that there's a bigger risk that you're not gonna be in their plans.  Yet so many of them just don't seem to give a excrement, or at least choose when they want to.

That’s how I see it too mate, we have some good players who are under performing, we all know we can play good football (at times) just look at that first 30 minutes yesterday, we need some quality bringing In to shore up the defence (an absolute must) that’s our weak area, I still feel confident in that we’ll be safe (there are worst teams than us in this division)

OMG

Think earlier posts have said it all.

I’m just gob smacked at the ineptitude…

Most of those goals conceded had nothing to do with playing out from the back, just stupid mistakes or lack of effort.

Massive wake up call, and thankfully just in time for the window.

It will be very telling to see just how the manager and owners respond to the situation.
