Liverpool in 1946 in Division 1

Worst performance in 77 years that’s over three quarters of a century.

But how long since we had a worse home result? Have we ever lost by more than five goals?
This is a defeat of historic proportions.
Shameful.

I mentioned on another post that I cannot remember In 66 years of supporting Town that we shipped 6 goals at home - this is new low for me - a disgrace & nothing less than inept. We now have an unbelievable 30+ non playing staff. As has been mentioned before - they don't get you 3 points on a Saturday/ Tuesday.

H Phoenix Bessemer L 1 9
H Newton Heath L 0 7
H Middlesbrough L 4 7
H WBA L 0 6
H Preston NE L 4 6
H Liverpool L 1 6
Newton Heath is the former name of Manure. And was on Boxing Day 1899. Other than Liverpool, they all occurred in Div 2 (now Championship) apart from Phoenix Bessemer which was in the FA Cup Round 2 in 1882, after beating the Cup Holders Glasgow Queens Park (on account of them refusing to visit us!)

No, we beat you 6-2 at Roker Park in 1962 but Crossan didn't score.
You beat us 6-0 at Blundell Park in a top-flight match in 1937, just three weeks before we won the cup for the first time.

Good chance Notts County could beat the all-time record next game. Like taking candies from a baby with our new playing style.
