There are a number of very impressive attendances in Division 2 over Xmas.  Bringing in funding which makes it harder for us to compete.

These attendances compare very well with the biggest attendances in Div 1 over Xmas.  They also broadly match with season average Championship gates in the 1980s.  Including Leeds and Newcastle. .

Bradford had nearly 19,000

Notts County nearly 13,000

Wrexham over 12,000

Swindon over 12,000

Stockport over 10,000

Wimbledon nearly 9,000

Doncaster nearly 9,000

And Mansfield over 8,000.

(Chesterfield to probably get promoted.  And also have high attendances).

Had we played Mansfield at home on Boxing day it would have been a full house wouldn't it?

We've got the money up front via good season ticket sales so we should be able to compete.

Probably averaging around 7k if you go on seats sold , which is a cracking effort with the season so far .

Agree we are averaging very good attendances considering some of the the very average fair we have witnessed at home this season and that is put in a very diplomatic way so to reduce the red crosses UYM

Donny only had 1200ish at Notts boxing day,  we would have had twice that.   The side stand was empty apart from that.
