We all need to try and drum up an extra body next Saturday for usually one of the lowest gates of the season.Loads of regulars will be missing for the last Saturday before Christmas a pitiful away following etc etc.I hope we can fill those seats and build on the excellent victory over Crewe at home with some vociferous support. Dave Artell's Black @ White Army.

Last home game of the year. We don't play at home again until new year's day so we should be able to get a decent crowd.

Actually sales are looking strong with a week to go. No seats together in the Ponny or Findus, and mostly singles in the Main apart from a few in the back two rows. I need 5 together - STH that can’t go please release your seat. Might have to be Osmond.

Probably been 600-800 not there most games hasn't it without a good % releasing their seats .

Must be because every seat in the actual 3 home ends are nearly all greyed out most games  but there are loads of empty seats - noticed in the ponny especially from the main must have been a good 200+ for the Crewe game even though all nearly sold .

Rubbish ( no offence) We had 7000+ at the start of the season and you'll get a load of STH's who wont turn up either

Harrogate are a horrible team to play against. They are very defensive and slow the game down at every opportunity. We need a strong ref, but fat chance we get one.

say 600 don't turn up. 6375.
Say we have 200 Harrogate fans 6575.

I guess we'd need to shift another 500 in the next 4 days to come close so I guess you're right.

It’s feasible that we could get our highest home fan numbers though because we have 800 seats in the Osmond to go at compared to about 500 for the AFCW and Stags games.

Should be a decent crowd in for the Walsall game aswell

Averaging 6003 so far, last season we  finished at 6260 i think .

We will top that this season no doubt now with 8 of the last 11 games at home against  the better followed clubs  - Bradford ,Donny , Stockport ,Wrexham and Notts will all fill the away end wont they?

Only Mansfield who we have played so far have  filled it ,apart from that low away followings  . We are back heavy with big ones and it could be a hell of a run in if we get on a role .

I’ve seen them several times this season as my son supports them and that’s not quite how I’d describe them.
They were ponderous, and largely toothless I thought when they played a very poor FGR team really early in the season but they improved and changed a few players. They like to pass it, but their game is really based on breaking quickly with fast wide players having turned the ball over. They score plenty of goals too. Tough game.

If they bring any more than 300 I’d be astonished.
In terms of their support/local interest in them as opposed to Leeds, and going to Betty’s, they are playing two leagues above their natural level.

The irony is him doing it has probably shifted a few more tickets

I think the club  do great but never bang the drum to get people down - maybe it's because they don't need to or because they know there isn't much more space ; but I think with some Lukeo like updates/marketing it could tempt a good few more down .

And in theory it's probably slightly more due to season ticketers releasing seats and then them being snapped up.
Posted by: mariner91, December 23, 2023, 8:05am; Reply: 63
It’s actually more home fans than that gigantic club down the road managed against Barnsley. I highly doubt we wouldn’t sell out the home end against a team from South Yorkshire whilst top half in L1.  They’re huge though Lincoln, we could only dream of having such an enormous and transient support.

I’m very bored as I have a toddler sleeping on my left arm who won’t budge so I can’t move anywhere. And I’m aware I’m extremely sad. But that’s actually more home tickets sold for our match today than Lincoln have managed to get home fans for all their league games except one this season.

This is despite us being shite this season (and for 20 years). Despite Blundell Park supposedly being a dump compared to the Sincil Bernabeu. And despite them supposedly being miles ahead of us off the pitch and supposedly much better supported.  The delusions of grandeur emanating from virtually their entire fanbase is something to behold.
Posted by: Mappers, December 23, 2023, 8:42am; Reply: 65
In reality as we seem to be the only team that announce bums on seats rather than tickets sold the home average attendance difference is probably in the mid 100's , even their rose tinted Sincil B(W)ankers must recognise we would outdo their home support ,even with our limited capacity if we were in their position .

Wonder if we have Pyke and/or Wilson available.
They are 50/50 on their most dangerous attacking player - Sam Folarin.
Can see us being unchanged but suspect he might swap 1 in midfield.

7338 home seats sold

* 150 sold in the last 24hrs

Save yourself the trouble next time, Lukeo - with 150 from Harrogate, the gate should have been 7500. Actual gate? 6300.

What a futile exercise counting those empty seats was!

Yeah I don't understand the attendances. There's been several games this season where there is clearly more people present than is being announced.
