Rose every day of the week . He’s a model professional that leads from the front and scores some good goals

Bogle is still the mardy sulking fanny we all loved 😂

Rose plays for us, Bogle doesn't, so Rose obviously.

Bogle did nothing today apart from a tap in goal , Rose for me never gives up

They’re a different type of player so I’m not sure I would get drawn into a comparison.

Thought Bogle was actually really good today and was a threat to us. His hold up play has improved dramatically and he brought other players into play with some clever little flicks and passes.

He’ll get nothing but my good wishes for what he did in 2016.

Rose is our future and Bogle was our past who is getting to the end of his career.

Great in 2016 but I never liked his attitude, a lot of games he went missing and sulked. Rose is excellent for me, what a fine example of a hard working player with great attributes.

I love Bogle for his contribution to Town and I thought he looked the part today of a lower league regular scorer but he's yesterday's man. Danny Rose is my player of the season and probably will be come the end of the season.

Not fair to compare but rose has been brilliant this season for what he’s been asked to do and scored goals and i think Bogle played well today not seen him any other game this season so not sure what levels he’s at.

Rose will score many more if he gets better crossing service !

Few chances but took his best chance well !

Having said that, if Hunt had taken his shots when free in front, he could have had a hat trick today !

If that had been Holohan in the same situation, 3 shots would have happened ! Shame as Hunt had been bullied all match but still got passes in most of the time !

Is Glennon on steroids or been re-charged with Duracell ?

Running, slipping tackles, overlapping, crossing !

My Mariner MOM today, with Conteh very close behind !

Both really showing their class.

Bogle is only 4 & half months older than Rose.

Omar Bogle  will always be a legend in my eyes for what he done for
"Town"  but time marches  on and especially  in football Danny Rose will prove himself to be "Worth his salt" plus a few others  too who are in this present squad.
Enjoy the now looking forward to future of GTFC!!

Rose better all round player, and incredible work rate. How many points has he won for us with his goals this year? Plenty I bet.

Different types of player. Rose is hardworking and clever. Bogle is big, strong, fast and can produce a bit of magic.

They'd be a good pairing 😂

I have to say I'm mightily impressed with Rose and he's certainly scoring more regularly than was expected, 9 for the season so far and matched his 7 league goals last season already.

On the basis of their careers you’d have to say Rose, credit to the Newport manager though he seems to have Bogle settled & playing well, too many managers in recent years have failed to do that.

I’m pleased Bogle seems to have found a team that can get a tune out of him again. I doubt I’ll ever see a player at Town who bossed a game like he did at home against Stevenage in the 16/17 season.

But we’re comparing apples and beef burgers. Much rather have Rose atm.

Rose 100%. Bogle was instrumental in our promotion but Rose for me is an all round player and a leader on and off the field.

I'll be pleased when Bogle retires and we don't use every excuse possible to bring his name up.

I - and we - have great sentimental memories of Bogle. In the period we had him he had the potential to go on and have a great career in the upper reaches of the EFL. Rose has been a more consistent player at our level for a good few seasons and has always been one of those players you hate to see play against you but would love to have in your team. If you look at it purely on the consistency having Rose over Bogle isn’t a difficult decision.

Rose is a model professional? I like him, but the man is a right shithouse.

Rose because he never stops whether it be in attack, midfield or defending. He gives 100% all the time.

Bogle played his part in our promotion and earned us a lot of cash when we sold him. When given the opportunity to return he declined. Rose came here when given the chance. Rose is the immediate future, Bogle is the past - I would pick Rose over Bogle 100%. I also think Rose is a better all round footballer anyway.

During Bogle’s first season in the EFL he was on fire and lashing them in from all over the place. There is no way that Rose has that in his locker.

However, the attributes Rose has are invaluable and his work rate is superb. We haven’t seen him sulk yet either, and I suspect we won’t.

For that magic dust - Bogle circa 2016.

For all-round attacking play - Rose.

For effort and maturity - Rose by a mile.

Not so sure.  I remember at least four posts on the summer transfer thread enquiring about the availability of Garry Birtles...

Bogle's Town record is absolutely incredible.  I don't think anyone has bettered it or will do for a long, long time (obviously over more than a few games).

35 goals and 15 assists in 77 games.  In terms of minutes played it's a goal contribution (goal or assist) every 111 minutes.

Padraig Amond (32 goals and 3 assists over 46 games) returns a contribution every 107 minutes.  All of those at Conference level.  Bogle played 6 of his 18 months here at League Two level.

Other notable strikers at that time/level...

Alan Connell - contribution every 173 minutes
Liam Hearn - contribution every 125 minutes
Tommy Wright - contribution every 1014 minutes.

Bogle must win the award for player with the lowest on pitch impact:fan appreciation ratio going.

Undetermined for Brodie because we're still waiting for his 2013 Trophy Final penalty to land.  Can determine the outcome of it once it lands.
