Would that be similar to asking the surviving crew of the Titanic to watch a documentary of how unsinkable a ship she was?

They did manage to get to Southampton without any issues....

Due to the dignity that both the club & Hursty held the sacking.

I don’t think so.

Not quite. If you go on the parkway website there are 3 (almost) concurrent showings - 1 is sold out, the 2nd very nearly, the 3rd getting there gradually. Just a matter of time though.

I might go for one of the normal showings the following week. I’m gonna guess these showings will be cheaper than the premieres too

I am very happy that this didn't make it to a wider audience, Wrexham did it.....would hate to be seen as a "copycat" almost.
Will go see it and re-live some of the memories and no doubt see a load of new stuff so more than happy with this turnout.

I won't go to the premiere as a red carpet affair and smart dress code isn't my kind of thing but will certainly book tickets for one of the nornal viewings

I dunno. I consider myself privileged to have been at all three of those play-off games, but I’m not sure I “enjoyed” the drama in realtime. Wrexham in particular, I think just pipped Bristol Rovers at Wembley as the illest I have felt watching a football match my entire life.

For me, it was the most incredible trilogy of games I have ever witnessed, and almost certainly will ever witness. I could watch it back a billion times. To see it as part of a professionally made production is something I am very much looking forward to. Possibly a slight shame that it’s been a little while in the making and most of the people involved have left the club, but that’s only a minor qualm.

We were lucky enough to watch it with Jack a couple of weeks ago and interview him afterwards about it on the DN35 Podcast. It was a simply brilliant watch and I can absolutely say watching back after all the emotion has settled down definitely gives you an appreciation for what we did and perhaps even a different perspective - actually seeing it all rolled up in one film is quite powerful.

It's also great to hear and listen to a wide range of fans, players and staff's memories about the season as a whole, again giving that extra level of appreciation or added layer seeing it from others view points. There was also so many bits I'd forgotten about or hadn't thought about at the time. Not ashamed to say I found parts abit emotional..

The film's really great, anyone going to the Parkway is in for a great night, enjoy! Unlike the play-off campaign where I certainly didn't enjoy a single second of it - I was an absolute nervous wreck!

Really enjoyed it. It was great to see what it meant to people involved and the the tension for the players and staff. I already knew of the tension as a fan.

Town fans will love it, I'm not sure if non town fans will take to it, as I just can't see it from that perspective.

I hope there is a 2nd about the cup run and filming took place as the events happened.

I also think a film about Dave Moore would be an international box office hit.

I thought that was a nice touch especially from Fox & McAtee who have no links at all with the area now, speaks volumes about the connection between the players & support that season, amazing what unity achieves. McAtee’s interview with Mike White for RH was a good piece as well.

The cynic in me says the current squad should go & see it, but that’s probably a bit harsh on the lads still with the club.

Looking at that play off team now, with Fox, McAtee, Smith, Taylor, Sousa and JMD, with Clifton, Hollohan and Waterfall in good form, with Mani and Abrahams on the bench, and the Cropper throw in missiles in the armory, it doesn't seem we have progressed much over the last two years as a well organised, disciplined, solid defensive unit or attacking force.

I really enjoyed the premiere and it was genuinely emotional watching it at times, as a town fan it brings together so many memories of that incredible two weeks that will almost certainly not be beaten. Whether it will translate into something that more general sports fans enjoy I'm not sure.

Great to see mcatee and fox at the premiere.

If someone from the production company or the club haven't done due diligence on the footage they showed and they did use one of his photos then as someone who does photography and expects to be paid for it he has every right to be drunk.

I saw this today and just wanted to say I thoroughly enjoyed it. I am grateful that Jack has the skills, ambition and passion to pull this together in such an engaging way and captures such an historical moment, or narrative. Despite knowing the outcome, the dramatic manner in which the team pulled off the seemingly unbelievable on each occasion, is brought into sharper view on the big screen, perhaps because of the way the drama of the whole experience is captured, and/or because the memories also fade a little. Either way, it was fantastic to experience it once again. I actually went with a supporter of another team, who also really enjoyed it! I seldom post on here but just needed to say well done and thank you!

Excellent film of that miraculous play-off campaign.

What struck me most was the phenomenal team spirit in place during that time - something which was sadly absent a couple of weeks ago when the team crumbled and capitulated to a 6-1 home defeat.

It may well be that we have technically better players now, but what seems to be lacking is the heart and spirit of those boys of the 2021-22 season.

You pay your ÂŁ10 and then you have 24 hours to watch it or you expire.
Trivia fact not yet mentioned on IMDB - this is actually Sutton Mariner's homage to the classic Japanese horror movie Ring https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0178868/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0_tt_8_nm_0_q_Ringu
If you haven't finished watching it in 24 hours Max Crocombe climbs out of your TV screen and induces a series of fatal leg cramps on you.

Me n the wife watched it via Mariners TV last night and thought it was superb, well worth ÂŁ10. Plaudits to Jack Spring and all involved. Great to see my old mate Kenny Meech on there!
Thought Debbie came over really well, especially as her viewpoint was as an incomer, with no real relationship with GTFC beforehand. She really gets it doesnt she?
Somehow, with it minus 7 outside I developed hayfever for much of a 90 minute period.
The bits where Debbie was talking about the fans, the club n the town started the hayfever, and was at its worst when Lloyd ended it brilliantly by summing up with the simple statement that ,at last, you can be proud to say you're a Town fan

PS kudos to the 2 Yanks for their input, gone up in my estimation for their wry, n v.fair input

I don’t think I can watch this again at the minute. Knowing that all of that hard work could be about to be undone is just soul destroying.

Wasn’t overly fussed about seeing this if I’m honest, but just given it a watch and it’s absolutely unbelievable! Many scene brought a tear to my eye. Absolute credit to all involved, and I mean that sincerely.

Absolutely everyone connected with the club should watch this on Saturday morning before the FGR game. Players, coaches, manager, fans, stewards the lot. If that doesn’t inspire us all then we deserve what we get!

Enjoy y’all. A tiny bit of bonus content not seen in the film version too. UTM

Or just have it showing from the scoreboard from 1pm onwards?
Forecast is 9c so get those flip flops and shorts on and bask in the sunshine with a pint or two pre match

Might be an interesting study...the effect of cold on fans' ability to boo or praise their team. How many degrees warmer is it at sea level in the pontoon compared to the endothermic Upper Findus?

;D

Watched it on prime last night and really enjoyed it, especially the memories that flooded back
Only downside was listening to the positive comments at the end, which in hindsight sound a bit daft. Not sure who I blame for the current situation but it’s a real shame we’ve taken a step backwards

Watched it today and I thought it was incredible. It really captured that 2 week period really well and how much positivity was flowing through everyone involved with the club.

It makes it even more frustrating that we haven't kicked on and built upon that, becoming a real tour de force in the football pyramid. Maybe it is naĂŻve but I genuinely thought this was Grimsby's time.

Saturday is now the most important game since the promotion final and we must not lose.

Watched it on Prime last night after not being fussed. I thought it was fantastic and some great interviews throughout made my night seeing AB. The Scanz bit was a hard watch that's something as fans we don't get.Well done all involved and credit to the Wrexham guys they went up in estimation.

Working my way through the split parts on Prime (3 episodes as opposed to 1 feature length).

It's really, really good.  Finished the second episode which concludes with the County game, even though I knew it was coming I still got hairs on the back of my neck for the Holohan equaliser.

Whilst it was a disappointing second season for him, McAtee was so bloody good in that first season.  I really miss having a proper talisman in the side.  Someone with genuine swagger and ability to back it up.

I watched it last night (though I was also busy doing some other stuff at the time so couldn't give it my full attention). It struck me that I'd forgotten about half of the players who were involved that season. Am I right in thinking that the only survivor of the group is Harry Clifton? Pearson and Davies still at the club as well, of course.

I know we're a lower division club, but that sort of a player churn is remarkable.

Me too watched it yesterday after work with a cupp tea, brought memories / reminders what happened and how it unfolded back especially when you don't  remember what you had for tea last night.
Loved the fact "Those American Chappies" joined in and added to it.
A nod and thank you to those who got us there who departed i felt was just ,not swept under the carpet.
For me footage of BP/ Grimsby town and docks good for an "Exile" to see again
So cheers  for that as always UTM.

Watched it last night too - what a great togetherness we had as a squad and a club that season.

Let's hope for just a bit of that today...

Watched it last night on Prime. Absolutely brilliant just hope the very last line from Lloyd Griffith doesn't come back to haunt us.

Also watched it last night and enjoyed it very much.

One thing I remember from those play off games is the reaction to conceding a goal. We were straight back to the centre circle ready to respond, you could see the determination in the players faces. So different from how it is now, I do think the players are trying but confidence is so low.
