Lots of hard work, for little thanks. Never in the foreground but get on with the job in all weathers.

It can't be easy, but they triumphed once again

Big up from me and thank you.

Superb effort all round - credit to every one of these grafters on behalf of the team, supporters and all away attendees to save a night game.

And shame on those having a go at the decision to hold multiple inspections.

DA explained it very well why this was done and credit to those involved in the decision to make it happen.

I bet the majority of those having a go live less than 30 mins away from were completely unaffected.

They'll have a lot of work on to get the pitch back into good order as well, now! A good job it is a couple of weeks until the next home game. Or will there be yoof and reserves matches to he played at BP in the interim?

Well done for the hard work. When did clearing the pitch of water ever get you 3 points on a Saturday?

Well, today.

All worked out well didn't it, thanks to the efforts of the ground staff and the ref, who gave them every chance to get the pitch playable by the sound of it. He wasn't a bad ref during the game either.

That was a crucial win today and happened in a small window of opportunity, because it's now back with a vengeance. Wind and rain lashing my conservatory.

I think there was potential for a few bad outcomes today:

The game could have been called off very late at 13:00.
It could have started and been abandoned.
A game of terrible quality could have been played out with a bad pitch deciding the game.
Some bad injuries could have happened due to the pitch.

Huge credit to everyone involved in making today a successful one.
