The Fishy is the only forum I frequent nowadays.
Most of social media is a cesspit, so I don't bother with any others any more.

I often wonder why TheFishy has the reputation it does, within the fan base.
I’ve posted on here for years, during good/bad and indifferent times & have undoubtedly come across my fair share of bat shít posters.
However, the conversation & debate is without question better than any of the socials.

The Fishy is no different, to Twitter or Facebook. You get some good posters, but you also get the toxic arseholes, that you would see on social media.

I think most of us are a little bit older on here than the Twitter and Facebook posters , probably because at one time the Fishy and the telegraph were the only places you could get news , gossip and info.
It does make me wonder if it’ll die off as more and more of us do

I'm amazed that the fishy is still going. Forums like this are a relic of the 90s-00s.
Its great that it is though. It facilitates discussion much more than FB etc

The Fishy is unique, and whatever crap gets posted on occasions, the content makes you think about the team, ground, facilities, staff, shop, tickets, travel, and any problems that need someone to comment, advise or complain.
An open Forum that works very well and should not be lost !

Yes, I was quite surprised a couple of months back when someone created a thread to ask how old posters are and it turns out they are predominantly old farts like me.
Eventually young Poohjar and Hagrid will be the only two left.
