Even better than Kissinger’s death is that it’s given us another mention in The Guardian…

Kissinger, who died on Wednesday, loved football and often attended games. In 1976, for instance, after flying to Britain to discuss the crisis in Rhodesia, he went to Blundell Park for Grimsby’s win over Gillingham with the foreign secretary, Tony Crosland, a passionate Grimsby fan.

Thought he had died years ago. Must have got way more than his 3 score and 10.

Just seen that Alastair Darling has gone to the great debating room in the sky, and he was exactly on his 3 score and 10.

One of the old Labour guard and Chancellor when the banking collapse happened.

Not a bad guy, Darling. Did a reasonable job given the circumstances although, if he was braver (or Brown had let him), should have taken a bigger chunk of the banks in return for bailing them out following their thoughtless greed.

The useless bankers, in general, were allowed to get away with their incompetence. And then came George Fecking Osborne.
