Must have a few brownie points in credit?

I dont know what the criteria is but they shouldnt be

I think we need a fresh pair of eyes and thats no disrespect to either Ben or Shaun but it is not their time

Achieve 1 (one) clean sheet, would be a start.

Showing they can coach the team to defend well.

Yes, they have given us more attacking intent, but we are useless defensively.
I like the decisive nature of their use of substitutes, but I still think we need an experienced manager to cast an eye over the squad and have the ability to take us to the next level.

They’ve done a decent job in steadying the ship but these useless illegitimate players need a rocket up their bottom.

If Shaun and Ben get the job full time I fear they will take us down I don't think they should even be considered for the job.

I see what you are getting at........there are always fans there aren't there?
Maybe we should try a total boycott for one game and see what happens.

Yeah, we tried that during the 20/21 season. Didn’t end well.

Must say - some of these responses are a bit harsh - after all it’s a results game.
The data will decide.

Fresh eyes needed from top to bottom it’s all to cosy throughout for some .. change it or expect more of the same

I am not saying they should get the job , but they've only been in charge for four games. They are on a steep learning curve.  They've instilled a bit of confidence, made decent subs and are unbeaten.

Well so far Pearson & Davies have done well !  in the hat for round 2 of the FA Cup & bagged £41,000, a possible £67,000 for winning round 2 at Oxford & a chance of big money in round 3.
Beating a team who were 4th (Morecambe) in the table 3-2, getting a draw at FGR after being 2-0 down, that's 4 out of 6 points, and a win next Saturday would be 7 out of 9 points, certainly defensively we need to work on, but we are scoring more that twice the goal average than under the previous manager, if we do beat Sutton next Saturday there isn't anyone around i believe that could have done any better than these 2, so i would be prepared to offer them a 3 month rolling contract with a view to it being more permanent based on results over the next 3 months.

That’s certainly one way of looking at it. You could also say they were taken to a replay by a team of part-time players, conceded three times against them, then failed to beat the team with the worst home record in the division.

You could also say we scrapped a draw against a team second bottom of the league.

It’s been 3 weeks (?) since PH left, that’s a lot of days on the training ground. However, we still can’t defend and that’s a show stopper for the current incumbents as far as I’m concerned
It’s possible they’ve opted to not try because we’re scoring goals, but that’s unlikely.
The veggies were there for the taking yesterday against any half decent side, and while the comeback was admirable it was 2 points dropped due to poor defending
The use of subs has been really good in their four games but if we continue to concede at the current rate we’ll struggle in my opinion

by the by, been told by 2 different people who've watched training down at Cheapside that the players are an awful lot happier with life, now that Doig isn't shouting and screaming at them

But the N/O need to update as Rome burns.

They seem to be swerving responsibility as we wallow.

That might explain the improvement in results on it's own. I've not seen any of the games but I get the impression from people who've been that the players look happier

We may not have improved any defensively, but we look more threatening going the other way. Maybe we can Kevin Keegan our way out of the bottom places.

I personally feel that there isn't a criteria by which Ben and Shaun will take the reins. I think we will appoint someone else in the not too distant future, possibly before the Sutton game.

The amount of moaning on here over the last year or so about we can't score goals now everyone is fukin moaning about our defending.
They have been at it for three weeks and that's nothing, not 'a lot of days on the training ground'
If they stay in charge or not they will have my full support while they stay in position.
I for one am enjoying what I've seen and for the first time in a long time can't wait for Saturday to come.

Confidence should be quite high at the moment in the GTFC camp - following the recent good results.
Training this week will reinforce this and a win against Sutton will add to the feel good factor. Town have the players and enthusiastic management team to get this win - and I back them to do this
