There is a lot of money at stake on Sunday for GrimsbyTown FC & Slough Town FC in the first round proper of the Worlds oldest football cup competition, for Grimsby Town a win covers just one month of the clubs wage bill, for Slough Town FC i am guessing covers a whole year, so it is a massive financial game for both clubs, not only the £41,000 for winning, but for all the money on offer for round two, including gate receipts, & possible TV money. UP THE MARINERS.

First round proper winners     (40)     £41,000
Second round proper winners     (20)     £67,000
Third round proper winners     (32)     £105,000
Fourth round proper winners      (16)      £120,000
Fifth round proper winners     (8)     £225,000
Quarter-final winners     (4)     £450,000
Semi-final winners     (2)     £1,000,000
Semi-final losers     (2)     £500,000
Final runners-up     (1)     £1,000,000
Final winners     (1)     £2,000,000

Any idea how much we get for being picked for international TV this round?

Are we on international TV? Missed that if so.

An exciting weekend of soccer action lay ahead for the citizens of São Tomé and Príncipe.

All games moved to Sunday are shown on international TV. Someone posted the link of all the relevant channels etc in one of the threads, I know it’s on EPSN+ in America.

Think that's more like a week of our wage bill.

Ronaldo earns that in a day.

One thing I never had clarified   is the prize money,   if for example  we lose in 3rd round  would we get the 41k and 67k  for winning 1st and 2nd rounds  or is it just the 67k ?

Think of the money sloshing around in the top tier, and what the FA hold in reserve, and this is like throwing a few pence at beggars

Exactly what I was thinking, considering it’s considered to be the biggest domestic cup game in the world there should be more money in it from the first round proper

One thing I've never understood is why they specify prize money for semi-final losers and final runner-up - why aren't they included in the money for winning the previous round?

Quarter-final winners     (4)     £450,000
Semi-final winners     (2)     £1,000,000
Semi-final losers     (2)     £500,000
Final runners-up     (1)     £1,000,000
Final winners     (1)     £2,000,000

is exactly the same as

Quarter-final winners (4)   £950,000
Semi-final winners (2) £1,500,000
Final winners (1) £1,000,000

which also highlights the odd fact that the prize for winning a semi-final is more than the prize for winning the final!

If they did it your way they would theoretically be paying in advance so I can't see them doing that in case one team didn't turn up for the next round
