Very sad. Have had a signed picture of him from the 1966 world cup for a while and always moves me when I see the picture knowing he achieved the pinnacle in football . True legend of the game.

RIP Bobby.

Those remaining from 66 become even less.

Sad day for English football.

Probably the greatest ambassador for English football, certainly from the pre-social media era. Will be mourned across the land…

My all time favourite player, GTFC aside.

He had everything and the temperament of a saint. RIP.

A truly great player. One of the best English players ever.

Probably the best in my life time and as a 10 year old seeing that goal he scored against Mexico in the 66 World Cup will always make my top 3 football memories. Not a Man Utd fan but god I would pay big money money to watch Best, Law and  Charlton play in the modern game, frightening thought. RIP

Probably the best footballer this country has ever produced.
Won every trophy out there including the World Cup.
Top scorer for club and country from midfield.
Back on the football field 16 days after the Munich crash to help his club rebuild.
A total Gentleman to boot.
RIP Sir Bobby
