I'm hoping for a bit of help please.  Haven't been in my home town much for some years now and I have to have a cataract seen to in Cromwell Road next week.
I had thought A16 - Toll Bar - Scartho Rd - Bargate - Dudley - Cromwell.  But thinking about the 60's and 70's Scartho Road could be terrible for traffic and I don't want to get stuck.
Can anyone advise me if this route is OK midweek between 9 am and 10 am?   Or would I be better A16 to Ludborough then A18 to Oaklands -Laceby - Bradley Cross Roads - Littlecoates - Yarborough - left into Cromwell?
Been some time and I don't know the traffic so I would appreciate any advice.
Thank you.

I would come back end of Laceby and come out at Great Coates, turn left and go through the willows estate..
But in fairness traffic isn't usually that bad going Bradley way either anytime I've gone back home

This would be your best route. The A16 diverts after Toll Bar roundabout to what is known as Peaks Parkway.

After Toll Bar roundabout you come to a second roundabout, take the first left as this puts you back onto what you know as Scatho Road, there will be little heavy traffic at the times you mention.

What you know as Scatho road A16 is now the A1243 which you need to take.

I hope your journey goes well and your op.

My thanks to Lukeo and DB for your helpful advice. I'll leave plenty early just in case.
I value the fact that it is not just Town news that I can benefit from on the Fishy community!
Thanks again to both of you.

That's right Ginny.
I had the left done seven years ago in Lincoln but the right stubbornly hung on!  Resulting in minus 1 in the left and minus 4 in the right.
Told the wife that was why I couldn't ever see her point of view.
Gonna get balanced up next week - can't wait!
Thanks for the thumbs up on Newmedica - good to know.
Cheers.

You asked for some advice - miss Scunthorpe. Not a beauty contest, just good, general advice.
