Does anybody know how we can watch/listen to the game? Presumably, there will be some sort of report on Towns twitter.

This game seems to be a non event - no team news or comments?

Or Khan, or Wilson. No mention of who’s on the bench.

He was thrown in at the deep end last night with little preparation as it clearly wasn't the plan to bring him on. I hope that hasn't caused him an injury as I expected to see him get 60 minutes tonight on top of what he did last night.

Lucky not to be 2-0 down after some very dodgy defending before we scored.

Is that a back 3 with Green in it or just the team sheet listed in number order?

Twitter is saying it's Cameron Gardner, youth teamer.

How’s Harvey playing in goal? I heard not great but hope that’s not true

In other friendly news, Andy Cook scores a hat-trick against Middlesbrough and Max Crocombe is sent off against Belper. Not for having a sly píss on this occasion, however.

Twitter has already decided he's rubbish and worthy of abuse so he has that to look forward to this season I guess...

Well that was crap, hopefully none of those players will get too close to the first team, lucky to only lose by one goal.

He did ok, not much chance with any of the goals as far as I could see.

Essell worked really hard with not a lot of support. Gardner took his goal very well. It was just a glorified training session.
Shame though Wilson and Khan were missing, guess they are injured?

Really?

We had 4 experienced players on the pitch, and a load of young lads.

Not to mention it was a friendly.

2-0 up at the break in charge after first ten then 2nd half to be honest the physical side of it seem to catch the young lads out but hey ho it's grand experiance for these boys

Yeah  a bit like that except for us scoring 2 goals and us not sticking 7 experienced players on, choosing to let the youngsters finish the game🙄

Just noticed that Kelsey Mooney scored twice to carry on from where his dad (9 in 13) left off - https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/tommy-mooney/bilanzdetails/spieler/10410/gegner/1034

Was there last night
drunk it down all night!

Boston started well and could/should have been 1/2-0 up after 15 mins
We then bossed remainder of half

Second half they scored after 46 mins and from that point only one winner

A few of the young lads faded quite badly; they were giving defence all sorts of problems; and we generally got muscled out in all areas and also ran out of attacking ideas

Hey-ho - friendly and lots of inexperienced players on the pitch

Never read much in to friendly losses or wins

Yeah apart from we only had youth team on the bench, we didn't have Trialists that have played loads of games in The Championship and League One, and we managed to score two goals.

Some people say we got out muscled by bigger players and i think that could be a problem in league 2 as well...

I would like to see Hunt Kauri  and Cohen as first choice mid field but i do worry if they are strong enough...
Some games they will be ok but some others we might need a bit more height.

We could really do with a big central midfielder and big forward to give us options...
I seem to rember PH saying the same last season...

I'll be honest, a midfield of Hunt, a New Zealand tree and Gary Cohen isn't inspiring me with much confidence.

Cohen was versatile and I have fond memories of Notts County away when he played right-back and I think it was Tom Newey at centre-half. But centre-mid, nah not for me.

Hunt, Khouri and Conteh though is a different proposition.  Hunt has bulked up over the summer and put that extra strength to good use on Tuesday, Khouri is hardly a shrinking violet and Conteh is an absolute beast.  Lincoln were doing everything to stop him, yet could do nothing about either his physicality or his ability with the ball.  He's that lean kind of strong.  Not bulging with mass but strong and mobile.

That's discounting Clifton, who was our best player by a mile last season.  Unless he leaves, I can't imagine Clifton not starting the first game a week on Saturday.  I think there will be plenty of games when Hurst looks to Green for a bit tenacity and sheer bite in midfield.  But, what I presume will be, the starting three (Clifton, Hunt, Conteh) doesn't look like it'll be bullied easily to me.

Have you seen Conteh live yet? He’s a bloody big lad for 19 and no shrinking violet as his off the ball incident with an experienced Imp’s midfielder on Tuesday nights adequately demonstrated. Mind you I wouldn’t say no to another exactly like him!!

Out of interest, how are we saying “Conteh”.

Cont-ay?
Cont-eh (as in “monkeh”)?
Cont-er?

John Moore went with Con-tay, the other night, but I seem to recall the Gateshead commentator going for something more like the last one in the highlights I watched.

Yes it was only a friendly but I'd still expect the lads to put a shift in,they hardly strung a couple of passes together and second half the defence might as well stayed in the changing room,Boston cut through them like a knife through butter. The experienced players should be setting an example to the young lads.If you asked a Boston fan which they think was the four experienced players they wouldn't have had a clue.

Moore was struggling with loads of players' names against Lincoln especially Michee, pronouncing it Mitch-ee, so I wouldn't trust him on the correct way of saying it.

The youths clearly ran out of steam second half, which is understandable, and four senior pro's can't plug all the gaps, not matter how fit and experienced they are.
