Adults – £22
65+ – £16 (£18 on matchday)
18-21 – £16 (£18 on matchday)
Under 18 – £8 (£10 on matchday)
Under 16 – £6 (£8 on matchday)
Under 12 – £1 (£1 on matchday)

Mansfield on sale same time, 1210 allocation -

Adults – £15
Seniors (65+) – £5
Young Adult – £15
Under 18s – £5

Not looking for the monthly discussion on how we distribute tickets, everyone knows the score & haven’t got a ST you’re going to struggle. I just really get fed up with the fúcking about and ambiguity, let alone the rapidly decreasing allocations. Is it really that hard for the assembled megabrains at both clubs, Notts Police & Council to say, in decent time, this is the allocation and that’s your lot?

6 days after we visit, Forest will be hosting about 3000 Sheff Utd fans on a Friday night, in a crowd of about 30,000. Nobody can seriously tell me the same Council and police can’t cope with about a third of that on a Saturday afternoon?

Both stated as initial allocations which implies more later if that’s not going to be the case that would be dissapointing . One days notice for those who prefer to visit the ticket office is a bit shoddy.

Wrexham will get the full 4k for Notts to help the press have big w@nkfest about the game.

I couldn’t envisage us taking fewer than 3k if they gave us the full allocation, and 4k would be possible.

County have only given Lincoln 982 tickets, initially anyway, for the 1st round of the League Cup.  Considering there's only an hour between clubs that's another example of a very tight allocation.

Absolutely no justification for it. Only people who are getting punished is the fans.

With a capacity of 19841 at Meadow Lane, County are doing the bare minimum 10%.  Looking on their website they're not offering any home tickets for sale in the Jimmy Sirrell stand (the away stand).  That stand has a capacity of 5,775, even when segregated between home and away it can take 3365 away fans.

There seems to be a fundamental misunderstanding of the idea of a “spectator sport” at the top of the relevant authorities, and many clubs.

I can see absolutely no problems coming from releasing two lots of scarce away tickets at exactly the same time on an already shaky ticketing system.
Posted by: Chalky, July 26, 2023, 1:57pm; Reply: 7
The important word here is “initial”
I would suspect that if you sell out the initial allocation then another block of 500 would made available and so on,I read somewhere once why they don’t just give a max amount of tickets to that club and take back the unsold but I’m buggered if I can remember why it was now

Looking forward to the game but this season won’t be as easy as some think,if we make the playoffs I will be happy,if we make the playoffs with Grimsby I will be having a 90 min nervous breakdown

Appreciate what you’re saying but it doesn’t take Mystic Meg (RIP) to see we’ll sell the initial allocation, probably in the first couple of days. What you’ve then got is more to-ing & fro-ing, another statement, another load of fúcking about, another trip down to the ticket office potentially. All the while people have to make arrangements, book trains, time off work, etc etc.

Why is everything such a battle? It’s almost every single away match. Píss poor.

Last year we got no more than the initial allocation for Notts, both league and play off.

Just can't see it tbh. Expecting the usual statement that "despite our best efforts, there will be no further allocation"

Not Town's fault mind.

That’s me. I’ve got one because at the minute I’m 50/50 if I can make it, having to arrange childcare. But happy to let it go to a regular today than wait until a day or two before to find out I can’t make it.

I understand your dilemma, but at this stage I would rather it was returned to the club for re-sale.  if you find you can not go last minute, yes try and pass it on to someone else.

I’m sure you would, but unfortunately this is the problem that clubs force when creating this artificial scarcity. We might get allocated another 2000 tomorrow, at which point it’s not an issue.

Not the same council.

Meadow Lane is in Nottingham so is in the Nottingham City Council area which is a unitary authority.

The City Ground is over the river so is in the town of West Bridgford which is In Nottingham County Council and Rushcliffe District Council areas.

Don’t know if it still happens but some years ago, may of even been an FA Cup game,Town had to request “X” amount and pay for them wether all sold or not, then if all sold could request additional but again had to pay for them all, so if this still happens then obviously Town don’t want to risk having to pay for a load of tickets that are not purchased.

Last season we didn’t get the full Doncaster allocation because the club never requested them in time , I think it’s time the club realised we’ll sell all of the tickets offered for any local games and they should request the maximum amount of tickets

Yet we requested more Bradford tickets and didn't sell them. I think the club gauged that one incorrectly, with Donny being closer I think we were always gonna have a higher demand for that one. Glad those two aren't on back to back weekends this season.

Think Bradford was 1pm ko, during a train strike, off the back of Brighton & Mansfield that month and the week before Donny.

Yeah that's it, that's exactly what I was struggling to remember yesterday,if a club requests say an extra 500 more  tickets then they non refundable

Oh yeah, it was crap timing all round. Also they were both dead rubber games essentially, was commendable that we took 2k+ to both. Hopefully we sell them both out this season.

What are people saying about Walsall? Do we reckon we'll sell that one out? Will they all get gobbled up by ST holders if so? Don't traditionally sell out there I don't think but it being on that weekend and if we start well could be factors maybe?

I guess we are looking at a circa 13k crowd. With the full 4.5k away allocation could have been 15k. When is the last time Notts got 15k for a league game at normal prices?

TBH if that’s right I don’t have a problem with it - but there must be consistency. Unlike the Halifax fiasco, or Notts in the play-offs. This is where I’d want Fair Game to get involved. There shouldnt be discrimination against any clubs’ fans unless there is a demonstrable threat of serious disorder, and certainly not league status or TV.

If the problem is the concourse not the seats then why not let us sit where we want instead of cramming us all together? They force us to sit rammed in together when there is enough space for us to be more comfortable?

I spoke to several stewards at DRFC when going to some local cup finals. The reason we didn't get the full allocation was DRFC's decision alone. This was because of disorder when Bradford visited as the overflow which accommodated them was underneath executive boxes where the inhabitants decided to act aggressively. The club weren't risking that happening with our supporters.

DRFC were not going to back down and SYP weren't involved. That is why GTFC were rebuffed several times when trying to get a bigger allocation.

Hopefully the pyros being used by Town fans won't harm this season's allocation. Because they set off fire alarms on the concourse, the club couldn't admit fans queueing outside.

This was my understanding, I just think Donnie excrement a brick to be honest which was why our allocation stayed as it was.

The fire alarm thing was odd because I’ve never seen it before, or heard it I guess. Happens every week at football and fire alarms never go off, they must have some weird overly sensitive system there. It won’t make a difference to allocations though.

As for Notts, for me, the issue is still the actual system we use to purchase tickets. I’ve got mine and everyone I know who wanted one got one but for me the anxiety is the system. It’s horrific, I’ve always been successful in my quest but that still doesn’t make it ok. I’m assuming it hasn’t fully sold out yet?

The ‘rumour’ that they can use the whole stand because of health and safety and the concourse has to be balderdash. We’ve had that full stand before and so have others, the issue with the concourse that day was the police kettling people in areas of it and the kiosk people just slamming down the shutters which in turn drunk people off. I’d imagine we could get another 500 at best. They’ll probably sell the rest to home fans and why wouldn’t they?

Let’s face it, we’ve cut our away allocation to accommodate home fans so we’re no different…

Way better to be crammed in in my opinion. Atmosphere is never as good when there are little pockets of space everywhere. I reckon a couple of hundred spare so there's a small bit of wiggle room works but we'd have a third of the stand empty at Notts if we could go anywhere and we'd not be anywhere nears noisy as we would otherwise.

There will not be any home fans in away stand. Notts do not sell home tickets when there are more than 2000 away fans I there. Again it is because the concause is too small.

The away stand is definitely restricted below the amount of actual seats within the stand. As somebody has said the concourse size restrict the capacity. There are large areas of the stand where the seats aren’t even numbered and tickets aren’t sold.

Safety requirements have moved on since 1991 when they redeveloped Meadow Lane.

I am sure that was Chelsea after drawing 0-0 at home. They wanted Town to buy tickets for the seats in the temporary stand behind the goal before even selling them to Town fans.

Not sure if they actually ended up doing that but there were a fair few Town fans in those seats but not a sell out.

Tbf think everyone was fine after we got the additional 900. I think with 2000 some would have missed out -  We sold 2000 at Donny away for a dead rubber game last year.

Be interesting to see if we do sell out the 2900 - we get similar for Bradford but rarely sell out. I reckon we'd got around 2000 that would definitely be heading to Donny, Bradford, Notts each time and then a few that bolster those numbers.

But if we don't get near to selling the full 2900 tickets, not sure we'll get offered them again at Notts as I think we have to pay for any returns

Given that then, reckon we should sell out Notts County, being the first Saturday away game of the season.

Yeah I keep seeing people saying that but it looks like there are tickets available when I log in.

Just called to buy a ticket for tonight but no pre-purchased tickets will be sent to the home club this season. Pay at away ticket booth tonight - card only. Fine when there is plenty of room left in the away end and home club continues sales on the day, but otherwise exiles have to get their sh!t together to buy early enough for post out.

About 300 left, then. Even if we don’t sell out I think that’s a pretty good effort for a game in August when a good chunk of people are away (myself included, and I’m gutted!).

2752 sold for Notts at the end of sales. Bit disappointing to not sell out but decent effort nevertheless.

Yes I was convinced we’d sell out, especially with 2.1k going to STH / Trust. Still it’s couple of hundred more than our last visit there and times are considerably tougher financially now.

It’s smack bang in the middle of the summer holidays, was always going to be a struggle to shift them. Happens all the time, still a great turn out though…

It's funny isn't it... 2.7k travelling fans is something to be proud of for any club from championship downwards. But we have such high expectations of ourselves due to how well we travel.
Enjoy your day boys and girls. Get behind the boys. Utm
