Every year I do a lucky 15 on teams to be promoted, last year I only managed 1 out of 4 (Wrexham). I do it so it gives me something to look forward to and other teams to follow / keep an eye on instead of betting every week.

This season I'm going with:
Middlesbrough
Derby
Grimsby
Chesterfield

Anyone do anything similar or got their eye on any teams in particular? I used to do the prem instead of national league but I can't see anything past Man City cruising to another title at odds on.

If I can’t get to a game I’ll stick a tenner on town to lose/draw.

If we win I don’t mind losing a tenner, if we don’t then I’ve got a few quid. Not much but, probably only a couple of quid most weeks, but softens the blow a touch.

Looking at Chesterfields potential firepower that should be a fair chance.

Us and Barrow are a good outside bet for top 7 I would say .

Town are 33/1 on sky bet, nearer the bottom than the top.
Seems good value if you’re into gambling

They look tasty odds to me, especially with the way we are shaping up signings wise.  A nice little each way punt wouldn't be amiss.

I put £20 on us to lose at the service station when we went to Hartlepool that year 😅😅😅

I do a Lucky 15 for teams to win the league at the start of the season but on the handicap list.
So for instance last year Man City were scratch and the rest of the division gets a handicap ranging from Liverpool (+5) to Bournemouth (+58). The odds for all teams are 18/1.
The trick is to find the team that will overperform in each division.
Town are always in my Lucky 15
Last year i did:
Man Utd (+21) with their  handicap they got 96 points total, Brentford (+47) won it with 106 total
Sunderland (+18) totalled 87, Burney (+7) won it with 108
Shrewsbury (+24) totalled 83, Plymouth +16 won it with 117
And Town's (+16)  total of 77 lost out to Orient (+9) with 100 points
Had they all come in i would of won £17k ish as it was i lost £15!
It does give you 'a team' to look out for in each of the divisions and therefore add a little interest.

I'm now keeping an eye out for those teams recruiting well and are likely to be the dark horses for the coming season.
Town fit nicely into that bracket but who might the others be?
Any knowledge anyone?

If you can mix title winners and promotion I'd take Chesterfield to win it at 7/2, ridiculous price looking at their signings and the strength of the rest of the division. Looks like the weakest NL for a while in terms of candidates, I'd be amazed if they don't win it.

2/1 is the mixed one unless you've found it higher elsewhere?

Reckon I’ll do a promotion bet with :

Leeds
Barnsley or Charlton
Bradford or Wrexham
Chesterfield

Maybe a relegation one too:

Luton
Plymouth
Burton
Crawley

I’ve a gut feeling for Oldham in the National League.

Think Ipswich might surprise a few in the Championship, Derby for League 1 and I’ll go for a strange one in League 2 in the franchise scum.

I remember speaking to some of the their fans after we beat them with that Mitch Rose penalty. We’d not won for months before that. Poor sods have been down there ever since. It’s been said a million times but 2022 was miraculous from us.

Never bet on Town. Never bet against Town! Them's the rules.
