Let’s have a rudimentary go at working out where we might land…

My group of 4 about to renew next week.

Think there is a lot doing the same.
Posted by: Mappers, June 23, 2023, 9:21am; Reply: 2
Saw a couple of polls on twitter , roughly 40% who are renewing have not renewed . The difficulty is finding out how many that equates to in the 2700-3000 ?

We can go off what we do know :

3600÷52 days =70

So going by the bleakest outlook
8 ×70=560
+3600=4160

A low end would be 4160 based on the day rate of sale the past 52 days , but surely it will speed up and be a lot higher than that . The Mansfield comparison saw them do 1k in the final 3 days , how we compare to them interests me (maybe because i'm sad ) .

Yeah I’m renewing my two in the Main soon. Up to what time on the 30th can I renew? Also the guy who was a season pass holder who sat next to me at the end of the aisle unfortunately passed away before the season end, I was hoping to shuffle along to his seat, but I’m guessing I’ll only know if it’s available after the 30th when the unclaimed seats are released?

Jesus, Poojah will have to add another option on the poll - Had a season ticket last year but won’t be renewing ‘cause I’ve died!

Fair weather fans.

Unfortunately, such is Rob’s lackadaisical approach to the maintenance of this board, he’s yet to install the “ouija poll” plug-in, making it rather difficult for those who have left this mortal coil to vote. It’s not good enough.

Not for me still.
My 7 year old has fully took to the team now, and loved the mascot experience last season.

However it's still very pricey for us both, and i'm not sure he will love it on a Tuesday night in January before school!

Maybe next year though, and will still attend games

What a load of bunkum - it all depends on the moon and tides as everybody here on the Fishy knows.

I’m waiting until they publish which players have exactly what on their fish, chips and mushy peas.
I’m not paying good money to watch someone that has mint sauce, gravy, or God forbid curry sauce on theirs.  I don’t care how good they are.  I suspect this is the reason for the slower take up this season.
Come on Debbie.  Get this sorted soonest 😉

83 is quite a low number but let's give it a go anyway to make an estimate .

35=3000 @ 42%
+ 600
3600

2700 @ 30%
÷3
R-1800
NR-900

1800+3600

ST sold 5400

I will go a touch lower and say 5210

See how the fishy poll compares to the whole demographic of Town fans !

We were playing Politicians Golf yesterday and I went round in 64 to win the contest. There were 80 of us playing in the competition.  64 x 80 =5120.  This is my prediction of how many season tickets we will sell this year.

5245 STH. By end of early bird price.

5500 by start of season.

It's going to be a busy one for that ticketing system and office this last week for sure , hopefully they are ready for it .

A good suggestion to the club would be to have a couple of days  after the period with all the seats availableon on that seat map ,  that have not been snapped up (after allocation to the new holders ) and the non renewals . Think you would shift a good few more then (if there are any good seats left).

That’s a very good idea extend the date by a week to allow the undecided to review the situation

I renewed yesterday morning and was a steady stream in and out the ticket office. Not especially busy but not quiet either.

I did wonder how the latest inflation/interest rate news would affect sales. For the first time the pending doom seems to have really hit home and people have become aware that mortgages/rents are going up, even if not immediately. On top of everything else costing more too.  If you're a family of four wanting ST's, you're looking at not far off a grand. At a time when pockets are going to be pinched, that level of indulgence is probably going to the first to go. In the current climate, whatever

On a positive note, my god what a simple and easy experience it was in the ticket office. These are our seats, can we renew please? 2 minutes later back in the car with tickets.  No manually writing details down in a book, crossing out seats on a paper plan...

Young lad in the office who I've not seen before, couldn't do enough for us.

Great Post I totally agree with every word the change in attitude towards the fans in general is great .We're not just an inconvenient cash cow were not treat as valued customers the staff are happy to help. The young lad was so refreshing and actually asked every person before paying are you a Mariners Trust member to ensure the discount was applied. Its a  small but much appreciated improvement and it will reap its benefits further down the line.UTM

If you're on about the young person, dark hair n glasses...super helpful, sorted my season tickets and Cleethorpes tickets out for me, brilliant customer service.

2 days left , would hope we are close to 4.5k  with the final couple of days frenzy to come .

Quite a lot of first time people buying  going off twitter .

Great effort by everyone to get behind the club .

Picked mine up yesterday afternoon and there was a steady flow of people for the 20 minutes I was in and around the ticket office. Would guess 5k will be smashed this week.
Posted by: Mappers, June 28, 2023, 8:40am; Reply: 33
We sail through 5k ,no doubt about that now . It will be interesting how close we get to the record by August .

Either way , there won't be a spare seat in The Findus or Ponny after the new one's are allocated out.

That's why I would advise holders not renewing in those especially , to revise their position .

1) You will probably be at the back of the main when you do go .
2)Looking at the less short sighted view , IF we have a good season you won't be getting those seats back , potentially for a long time .

They should give Mappers a job in the GTFC commercial dept, he’s done more to flog season tickets than anyone in that office. Wonder if that’s a conscious decision, being very low-key on pushing STs to allow for greater capacity on match days?

There is definitely more profit to be made out of having more walk up places available, as you say certainly compared to last year it seems there is much less active selling by the club going on.

Anyone who is not a STH will have big issues in getting a ticket for any key away games and/or cup matches.

Look at the many attractive matches over the last year. Some STHs lost out anyway.   Success is not a given, but we are on an upward trajectory.

Once you give up your ST or do not have one, then you are in catch-up and uncertainty. I understand the issues for distant exiles or fans who can only get to a limited number of games.

I believe that Liverpool and Leeds (as examples) have very long waiting lists for season-tickets.  Liverpool have a 30 year waiting list.  Leeds have 20,000 on their STH waiting list.  I just googled  this to confirm.

Myself and my group have now purchased ours, so another 4 on the total.

Wasn't that busy when I was in there. One other buyer, but I may have gone in during a lull.

We'll go past 5000 easily I reckon.

I'm more interested if Daves left leg is still  not renewing ?

Record is not now out the question for sure come August ?

Bought four this afternoon. Decided not to take a gamble on the 'overflow' as there happened to be 4 in the main stand but on row M. Little unsure how good the view is going to be but we're there now so hopefully the season is an enjoyable one.

Only the third time I've had a season ticket. First time was in the early 2000s when we avoided relegation in the Championship with a 1-0 at home to Fulham. The second time was when we first won promotion from the NL against FGR. Hoping that the third time deliver a similar level of success.

Wouldn't be surprised. Unlikely to see a reduction in actual attendances on match days and gives them a bit of breathing room with regards to the elephant in the room of increasing capacity.

I will continue my roleappointed by Ska as voluntary commercial season ticket sales exec .

Only 9 seats remain in the Findus and Ponny, loads of new one's have gone . Even The Main has had a decent uptake in the last week .

I would love to know the amount of new ST holders now as I think it must be well over 1k

The next 2 days should be the most frantic , Mansfield did 1k in the last 2 days as did Stockport - anything similiar would take us very ,very close to the record and possibly beyond .

What an effort from everyone

I'm sure once we were told once 'we will never get many more than 4k crowds' and were 'punching above our weight'  against the mighty Bromley , Boreham wood and Yeovil ; maybe it was a bad dream .

Buy your's  now , don't miss out !

Renewed my ST a couple of days ago at the Ticket Office. Straightforward, no issues. As an exile living in Derbyshire every home game is a 200 mile round trip so if anybody would be interested in car sharing ? Am in Langley Mill (Mid-way between Nottingham and Derby) - a few miles off M1 Jct 26.

I’m East Leics so doesn’t quite work home games - A1 A46 for me - but maybe some away games going north and west?
