Looks like Doig is starting his Pro licence course:

Nice bit of networking for him. Wonder if this is why we have a friendly with Fleetwood.

Bit random having Benfica and Grimsby on a Scottish based coaching course

He's made no secret that he wants to be No1 at some point, so he's going to have a crack at being the boss somewhere one day.

I wonder how the content/delivery of the UEFA coaching course differs across the continent.

This should be easy to do at Grimsby as we never sign any players with individual flair !  ;D

I would assume that it is exactly the same as it's a UEFA course and is accepted across Europe (if not the world).

Iam a fan of these football coaching courses. What struck me when I done one was the emphasis on encouragement on younger players and getting involved and enjoying the football was more important than the end result in producing high quality players in becoming full time professionals. The reality is that statistically a small percentage that go into academy football will actually make it at whatever respective level which includes appearances at league 2 to a premiership club. In years gone by according to the coaching  course I was on ( level 1 )  the pressure from  parents put some youngsters off and they lost interest in the game which is a shame.

I thought that second picture was Slade's infamous half-time teamtalk at Sincil Bank in 2006.
