Potentially another GTFC vs GTFC

Hopefully all pre-season so we can put a decent team out

It should be pre season, but knowing the Lincs FA it won't be

Scunny lucky to avoid a qualifier at that level.

Do we qualify for the europa league or the Anglo Italian san Marco pizza trophy if we win the competition?

Does anything sum up Lincs FA more than 'date, time and venue to be decided...for the cup competition we organise'?  Praying it's not during the real season again

Not really significant as we always play a youth team in the competition regardless of when it's played

But it could be a worthwhile pre-season event every year with just a little bit of thought and work. Get the clubs involved in the format and timing before a half arsed announcement like this. We regularly play local clubs in friendlies, it wouldn't be a problem to have some structure and give an historic competition some attention.

I'd go for 16 team knockout (takes you down to level 9), seed teams for 1st round biased on league/level, highest team plays away. 1st round losers have option to drop into the trophy competition.

Never going to be a competitive fixture for teams higher up the pyramid purely due to the risk of injury involved for a competition that is really meaningless for us.

Say we have 6 - 7 pre season friendlies. They should try to plan a week for the teams participating to keep free so it could be done and dusted nice and early. 1st round on Saturday, then the Tuesday or Wednesday then following Saturday. Done (assuming it's 3 rounds? I haven't properly checked)
