This happened. One incredible promotion, an FA Cup quarter final and a probable top-half League Two top-half finish later, it feels a lifetime ago, doesn’t it?

After everything it feels like we came out better through rebuilding the squad after going down but does make you wonder how things could have gone if Jay Matete wasn't sent off. Very talented lad who had a bit of a hot headed streak that screwed him and us over. He'd hit a run of form towards the end of the season so it was a huge blow when he was sent off.

In the end we'd be lucky to stay up, it took awhile for Hurst to get consistency out of the team and by the time they'd found some form it was always going to be a struggle.

Listening to that, its extraordinary that we are where we are today. We might easily now be exactly where Scunthorpe are.

I cannot remember hearing that Tondeur summary before today. A bit outspoken there.
