The accounts of Grimsby Town Football Club to the same date showed a loan owing of £1.5m with the description amount due to group undertakings..
So why doesn’t it appear in the balance sheet of 1878 Partners Limited ?

Perhaps worth asking the auditors?

There aren’t any.

Looks like accounts prepared by two different firms

Here come all the financial experts…

Meanwhile, Colchester have a 35m debt to hover around the relegation places…

Were you this much a of a whiny pedant when the financial express came out under the last ownership? Did you question where the trust money went? Did you wonder where the money given to us for the training ground was spent, or not as the case showed? Were you critical of the use of a pension fund to finance the purchase of the club? Were you ok with a £1m of club money being spent on a dream of one man? Did you query where the Bogle money went? Did you query why Fenty reneged on a deal but made the other party keep up with it?

Any query as to why a fraudster was brought into the club, or at least the attempt was made, especially during covid when few people were about to see it? Did you challenge the collaboration with a worldwide ticket tout?

I’m guessing not, but ya know, keep being a whiny pedant…

The 1878 Ltd accounts value the investment in GTFC Ltd at cost:

Dr Investment
Cr Creditors - S&P

In the GTFC Ltd accounts;

Dr Cash / benign Fenty loan
Cr Liability to 1878 Ltd

I like the sounds of that guy, Dr Investment.

Maybe he could give us a real cash injection?

The investment is the cost of the investment in the shares  of GTFC (as it says in the notes!) ie the shares bought from Fenty and others not the loan the GTFC accounts say it has received from  and is owing to group undertakings ie it’s parent company 1878 Partners Limited

Well I did . I pointed out 15 years ago that the accounts showed the club was paying large annual pension contributions to Fenty and got a similar response to yours.

Don’t see why anyone is getting their knickers in a twist. It’s a public record of what Jason and Andrew invested when they bought the club. Simple as that.

I know it can only be conjecture but does anyone have any idea how much our former leader made from the club ?

He must be one of the fewer lower league chairman that proberly walked away without losing money .

The lads must have already put in more capital  than he  ever did in his benign loans .
