The relationship between the owner and the fans has completely broken down, and now the fans are turning on the Trust who let him into the club.
Meanwhile the Trust have paid the wages of the staff and players for this month.
Relegation back to NLN is a real possibility now.

For example, the Trust were astonished to find that Glen Henderson had offered inappropriate side deals to prospective buyers, only to withdraw them because he did not have sufficient shareholding with which to honour them. Along with other factors, this cast a seed of doubt for one of the parties that resulted in their withdrawal from the process. The Trust are taking legal advice with respect to this unwelcome intervention in a constituted process and associated breaches of confidence

Wow, just....wow.  How does Henderson sleep at night (aside from on a pile of other peoples money) after refusing to fund wages he's responsible for?  Crazy time.  Someone attach a bungee cord to JS and AP so they can't physically leave the club, gives you a new respect for the owners

We are in safe hands and when Jason and Andrew want to step down (  many years from now  )  they will not sell to any Tom male private or Harry.

A friend of mine who lives in York went to watch York v Scunny on Tuesday. He said it was hilariously bad, first half especially and both teams looked doomed for the drop.

We really are lucky to have them Grimsby Town through and through , not many clubs have two local lads who love the club at the helm .

I really hoped York would kick on after getting out of the NLN last season. They are sinking like a stone and have played 2-3 more games than most of the teams below them too.

Reckon we can buy half their stadium off them at a discount rate?

Didn't they get £7 million for selling their old ground?  What happened to that?

Another reminder, if we needed it after last seasons playoff promotion and this seasons FA cup QF, of just how lucky we are to have proper, genuine local fans made good in JS and AP at the helm.

It seems to be getting increasingly rare. Listened to the podcast on Oxford and Rotherhams campaigns last season and I was surprised when it noted that even in league 1 a local owner is becoming rarer. More and more its people/companies gambling on reaching the championship and then being able to sell for a profit.

I'd want a substantial discount for the mismatched seats alone.

Feel sorry for York, lovely away day usually accompanied with a full weekend spent in York.. Was a real good team last time we met them in the Vanarama and had a certain striker called Jason Walker little ginger scotch bloke who looked absolutely brilliant every time we played against them.

They should reform as New York. Might attract US backers then.

We are lucky on two levels.

Firstly, that we have owners from the town itself, with enough cash to pay off the previous majority shareholder and steady the ship.

Secondly, that they're not the usual narcissistic personalities that come with having a bit of cash.

Not tarring everyone who's made lots of money with the same brush but, generally speaking, in this life, if you want to make loads of cash you have to be very single-minded.

You can see from the way JS is involved in other projects around the town (like the youth zone) that he and AP genuinely want to improve the town, not just the club (but use the club to inspire/lead the way).

JSF was from the town and had the money... but he ran the club like he ran his business interests (ultimately for the benefit of him, and him alone).

That's why it's super important that football clubs don't get blinded by someone who has cash. It needs to be about so much more!
