This is a sticky for people wanting to get to Brighton, car shares etc

The match is on Sun Mar 19th, but some will dust off plans for a romantic weekend! (Hopefully the Romance of the Cup).

Direct train from Bedford is a good option, also stops at Luton and St Albans.

Looks like there are no direct train on that Sunday.  Says change at St.Pamcras or Farringdon.

If I get tickets I'll be travelling with my son from Taunton on the Saturday morning and returning straight after the game.
Ill be driving via the A303, a36, m27 etc so anyone on route who fancies a few drinks and doesn't want to risk trains or driving let me know

Feels a bit risky but i'm going on the train from Peterborough

Just to let you all know there are literally zero places to park near the ground so dont risk it. A good option if you are bringing your car is park in Woodingdean (village nearby) and then get a taxi to the ground or walk if you are feeling fit

I've read there is 3 good park and rides in which are free with your match ticket? Will this not be the case for our game?
Posted by: Seagulls eat Haddock, March 6, 2023, 1:01pm; Reply: 11
yeah the park and rides will be operating - I meant there is nothing next to/very near the ground

There’s only been 2 for a couple seasons now.

Mill Road is the most popular and is usually full an hour and a half or two hours before kick off as this is just off the dual carriageway.

The other P&R is at the Brighton racecourse, if parking there though I wouldn’t recommend wearing your best shoes or trainers for obvious reasons.

Those coming by train on the day only need to get return tickets to Haywards Heath from there the match day ticket includes travel, might save you a few quid

Well worth considering parking in surrounding towns and getting the (free) trains in as another option if you’re driving - Lewes (great variety of pubs), Burgess Hill, Hassocks and Haywards Heath all have plenty of parking and are short train journeys to the stadium (via Lewes or Brighton for the last three). The P&Rs are fine but Mill Road fills up quickly and getting back after can take a while.

You may also see cars parked on the grass verges past the ground up the hill (The Drove/Falmer Road) if you drive that way - don’t be tempted, they are almost always ticketed as the road has double yellows most of the way up.

Are you in the Brighton hospitality or the Town allocation? I'm in the West Stand hospitality hopefully there'll be few Town in there - I was ringing all day Friday to try and get in the GTFC hospitality allocation but couldn't get through and it was sold out by the time I did. I got the second-to-last Brighton place - probably in the whole stadium - it is the most expensive ticket I've ever bought for a Town game.

Telll the truth not sure where i am going  but hope to be
above South stand hospitality  apparently where our  fans will be, according to Brighton fan.
I paid £210 total not ashamed  to admit it ,to be
there as i was not lucky to be one of "4621 Club".
Scary thing is never gone "posh" for Grimsby Footie match in my life so i e-mailed
Brighton for guidance on "Dress code& Etiquette "
to get it right etc.
Can you wear town shirt/ take an inflatable etc.
So if iam in West stand i will see you there.
Like you most expensive ticket i have bought but
Sure will be worth it come the day.

No footie shirts, have to wear a shirt with a collar and no trainers - I had to tick a box to say I'd read the dress code etiquette - might be different if you are in the South Stand.

Thanks. Went with them for the FGR play off final and they were decent to be fair, but that was a few years back now.

Just wondering if there are any local firms running trips. I'll have a trawl of the net.

Im in Bruno’s in the West Stand - will I get Haddock and chips with mushy peas - for the price I paid I expect that…not a big square white plate with a tiny little pile in the middle topped with a square of some weird tropical sea creature, and the words “ “drizzle”, “smear”, “confit” or “beignet”used in the menu? And will I get ejected if I ask for vinegar?

Brunos lounge has probably the best seats in the stadium (view wise) - info here https://www.brightonandhovealbion.com/club/matchday-hospitality/brunos-restaurant

and no you will be fine asking for vinegar, after all, we are a fellow member of the 'fish n chips' elite division

Hospitality  sold out according to "Town" website
So 100 Town fans going "Posh" to ensure they get to see the game live
Along with the "4621 Club" in the cheap seats

They were a bit late posting that - I was told it was sold out last Saturday - maybe there were some companies who had to confirm final numbers and be invoiced. I got the second to last spot in the Brighton hospitality the same day, although I'm expecting a few Town fans in there - Brighton released their hospitality after we'd sold out of match tickets but before GTFC announced our hospitality allocation so I expect a few will have jumped in straight away.
