I've been watching Rate my Takeaway for ages...he's quite entertaining and fun to see all the different types of takeaway around the country.

His latest video is Cleethorpes

What do people think? My parents seem to go to Wybers Chippy but I'm not that keen on the chips when I've had them (still gobble them down) but the fish is great.

Did a house renovation up that way, and spent far too much time and money in there. Very nice fish and chips.

As for Pip's chips; not tried there yet, but that scran looked pretty good, so may give it a look.

Being from Grimsby and not being able to eat Fish and Chips is a killer.  Especially when we go to Steels

I visited Pips yesterday before the game and was well impressed, they serve you your chips in a box, I had chips with curry sauce and it was delicious.

Loads of people outside there eating when I went past. That video has done them a favour by the look of it.

Yes I was in there around 2pm Ginny and it was packed, queuing out the door as well as people eating inside and outside, you can see why it’s busy mate, some of the best chips I’ve tried and for saying how busy they were it was presented very nice too.

Try moving away from Grimsby. You never find a chip shop of satisfactory. When I come home I always have a willows chippy unless we're spending a day in Clee then I'll try get to steeles

Market Place Chippy in Barton upon Humber is quite good.  Don't EVER get fish and chips in Hull, they suck big time!

He's been in Scunthorpe for a couple of videos now. Tonight's place seems worth a visit!

He was in Scunthorpe again! Not sure gold leaf is worth the effort but the rest of it sounds good.

I managed to sample it for the first time before the Gillingham game and the fish was absolutely gorgeous , about time a decent chippy relatively close to the ground .

I was very disappointed earlier in the year when I ordered fish n chips from a chippy on the seafront at Cleethorpes and it was advertised that all fish was cooked fresh which sounded great, the trouble is thst the fish fell to pieces whenever I tried to pick it up with my fork presumably because it was still too hot or summat, gerrit it sorted!
