Don't seem like the home team at all. Happy to keep possession and pass backwards instead of try to make something happen. Whistle happy ref seems to like blowing every time somebody falls over but we are again our own worst enemy. An early defensive blunder and a bungled one on one later we're just keeping the ball and not doing anything with it.

Donny doing a job on us here with 5 at the back when we have the ball and we look clueless in terms of trying to break them down. Need to start thinking a bit differently to get back into this.

I’m not sure which game you’re watching, they clearly watch us last week and saw that if they go 5 at the back unlike the Plymouth 3 then we couldn’t find any space in behind and that’s proved right. At half time at least their manager can be pleased with himself.

Missing Taylor...

No we're not, what we're missing is commitment amd concentration in the opening 10mins of the game, anyone controlling the ball well with their first touch, passing the ball to someone well over 5 yards and for the whole team to be pressing their back 5 becayse they've been excrement and hoofed the ball out of play everytime we've done that.

This Donny team isn't anything special, we made them look good in the first 10 minutes, but our own failings individually and as a team are making it impossible to get back in the game.

They are not a good team, you just have to look at how we've carved them open at times with our passing normally brought to an end by our own  individual error and how they just desperately hoof the ball clear whenever they are put undet any real pressure. We are our own worst enemy in this game at the moment and are making Donny look so much better then they are.

Shape not working today. Relies on our midfielders making late runs to work but Donny are keeping it too tight for that to be effective. Also, too many players having off days. The amount of poor first touches is incredible.

No Taylor stands still and hopes the ball comes to his feet, gets beaten in the air and is no longer mobile enough for a modern pressing game. He rarely holds the ball up as well as people think he does and is more then often flagged for fouling his man.

I'll tell you this mate, Clifton was on his own with the ball on the edge of the area advancing on goal, he could have shot there, or as he got closer, he had plenty of time to lift it over him.  It was a very poor effort, in my opinion. Being beaten by an honestly better all team, using their physicality and tricks far better than us.

They have had some luck with rebounds and loose passes from Town, but their closing down and harrassing has been far better than ours.

They also have a big hard centre forward who is causing us loads of trouble.

One way traffic, unfortunately, and we have no answer today !!

Poor from top to bottom, start to finish. Embarrassed in a local derby at home once again.

After 15 mins you could see we were struggling to break them down surely we should have changed it then? Maher was on the bench so 3 at the back and another in midfield/up front perhaps.

Poor by Hurst & the players today.

Nobody’s been abusive you snowflake. You called Clifton useless and then continued to post guff. I called you an idiot, because you are. That’s not really abuse is it.

LMAO, and you are calling me an idiot.  Get back to your village, else they will be advertising for a new Village idiot.  LOL LOL

Really poor showing and clear areas for improvement.
Really disappointing, but we are a team who have been promoted and have shown we are competitive and can beat anyone, but will lose on a bad day in what is a very competitive league. Still all to play for. Pi$$ed off today as I was after Hartlepool, but trying to be balanced and philosophical. McAtee back is a huge plus.

I think we lost it in center midfield today. The back four were ok, as well as down the wings. I thought that Holohan, Morris, and Hunt showed very little movement and bite in the middle of the park and gave the ball away way to much.

Clifton MoM for me today followed closely by Efete.

The better team won today !

They outran us, harassed us all over the pitch, played an excellent offside trap, and used their physicality to dominate the game

TV stats said our pass accuracy was around 75% which seemed aay too high, given all of the interceptions made by the Donny players.

Bonus - return of the Mac, with the goal thrown in.

Give their keeper some credit - he made some excellent saves today.

Bad day on the pitch - move on !!

Diabolical? Nothing like hyperbole over reaction!

3 of the back 4 were ok. Glennon got roasted. Again. I guess if he could defend then he wouldn't be here, but he is the weak point in the defence more often than not.

Really weird game, there were at least 3 occasions where I thought the referee had blown because nobody was moving faster than walking speed. They looked quite poor, but outbattled us and deserved the win.

Donny were two yards quicker and a lot stronger than us.
Hunt, Holohan and Morris are too similar, that game was crying out for Green, he should be first name on the team sheet. Taylor was a big miss as well, poor all round, defence was average, so bloody frustrating.

Really poor at times. Miller showed what a centre forward should be, and Knoyle/Maxwell what Efete/Glennon should be. Better players, quicker to 2nd balls, Morris/Hunt pants, always wanting 5 touches when you only need 2, as I said but got lots of x for after the loss to Carlisle we are bang average mid table team, nothing more, nothing less. :B

Efete couldn't have controlled a fart today and Smith had probably his poorest game for us.
