I'm sure our Harry can go between the sticks.  The lad can take any role.  Such a great member of the team.  If PH asked him to sell the hotdogs, there's no doubt he'd do it with relish. ;)

The chances of a keeper being injured during the game are extremely slim. I'd wonder how many games in our history we have needed to bring on the sub keeper, if we have a strong team then having another good option on the bench is preferable to having a young reserve keeper who probably isn't going to be needed.

Think he's the 1 in line for replacement - Khan near enough fit, Scannell hopefully fit before Xmas and we're going to have to fit McAtee in somewhere as well!

Its because he's a defensive winger, lots of tracking back which Hurst likes.

First time I've seen Smith and Waterfall this ragged. Glennon has really struggled against Hutton. Efete has improved a bit.

Our midfield has started to find more space since the equaliser but we're still second to most turnovers. Swindon have been pretty impressive, it's been tough.

I don't think Crocombe needed to close the ball for the second, just opened up the chance to square it.

An individual error there pulls the defence apart and Swindon get another simple tap in. This ones more annoying then the first as we've been defending well the last the last 15 or so as well

literally set up our goal but has been feeding off scraps because our midfield is playing so deep. Their midfielder Khan is picking up all the lose balls in midfield and stopping Richardson getting on to anything. Holohan looks lost leaving Hunt with a lot to do and Clifton is having to cover Glennon a lot who is getting torn apart by a quick, skilful wide-man. Kiernan has struggled to be effective on the right.

Let's hope the pep talk from Hurst can get the comeback kids working in the 2nd half. Too many not performing well Smith and Glennon in defence, midfield not producing much, Clifton seems to be struggling, Kiernan not doing much and Holohan coming in and out of the Game.

Crikey that was a tough watch. We've been miles off but fair play to Swindon, by far the best team we've played so far.

We're crying out for a striker who will get in behind them. Saw glimpses towards the end of the half, but it's too easy for them to win the ball back and start playing it around because all our balls are in front of them. Get someone going in behind to stretch them.

They are professionals, not amateurs and are paid to do a job. Smith really gifted them that 2nd goal and he took 3 goes to make another clearance, plus other errors.

Sunday league defending and yet again we're getting absolutely nothing from our hard working wide players. The Kieran + Efete experiment down the right needs to end, they offer absolutely nothing going forward. Massive element of luck with our (well finished) goal as well taking a massive ricochet in our favour and falling kindly for Taylor. We look badly second best.

Swindon looked better in all areas of the pitch, fitter, stronger, more ruthless in attack. We were always second to balls, easily bullied off it and looked like we wanted to pass the ball into the net from the back. Looked a bit better at the end when JMD came on as he actually tried to make something happen which still makes me wonder why he's not in Hurst's starting line up.

People will blab on about how he doesn't track back enough, needs to do this and that to work his way into the team but isn't lack of goals and quality the problem?

Swindon deserve it if were honest. Frustrating. At least for home matches the starting line up needs a bit of a shake up. Cant keep talking about our strong bench and then just be poor every first half. I dont think the 'never change a winning team' mantra works these days with squads of this size

Sorry I hate to pick on a player who I think does genuinely put the effort in and want to do well but kiernan isnt a massively effective defender or presser, and certainly hasnt shown close to jmd's quality on the ball, so I just cannot understand it whatsoever

Not like you to overstate. Put it down to being really p1ssed off. You can’t say we didn’t turn up. We played a good team. We had chances and gave our all as usual.  We lost by the odd goal but could so easily have equalised late on.

Kiernan really seemed to struggle against a side who had him in their pocket, tries to link up with Efete but isn't very effective. Also not our player so wonder why he's preferred as I don't think he offers anything better than what we have.

very frustrating that.  JMD made a difference.  TBF to Swindon they played their socks off.   People might say often the ball didn't fall right for us but Swindon anticipated everything better.  They really didn't need the shithousery.

We only really created chances against 10 men in the last ten mins. We only managed one shot on target in the first 45mins, Started well 2nd half for 5 mins but nothing much after that even against 10 men till near the end.  :o

A loss was bound to happen soon, they’re a good side and even though we didn’t play well could easily have got a point at the end. Another home game on Tuesday.

Frustrating result we had a good few chances that last 10 minutes.
Think efete needs a couple of games out just to reset a bit he is lacking a bit of confidence it seems, he has the attributes to be a good player but poor decision making let's him down.

We can’t pass water and need to be better than that, mentally a lazy performance in terms of concentration and just doing the basics right.

Disappointing that we could not get an equaliser. I am puzzled as well why JMD is not starting. This League is showing some shape now and there looks to be no certain 3 point games. Many teams are capabale of beating anyone else on their day. Move on to the next fixture and stay positive.

Even game I'd say but Swindon were that bit slicker with the ball. Going forward they always seemed to have options and follow up runners. With us it's just scrappy, Taylor isolated (although that improved somewhat after the half time formation change). The only time I really remember us threatening an equaliser was that moment of pinball in stoppage time.

We lack spark in the final third, hopefully that changes when Otis has got some games under his belt. Erm..... what's the prognosis for McAtee again?

Defence had an off day in the first half. Bound to happen at some point, onto Tuesday we go……

Let’s hope the Ryan Bennett story hasn’t unsettled them!😉

Not like you to overstate. Put it down to being really p1ssed off. You can’t say we didn’t turn up. We played a good team. We had chances and gave our all as usual.  We lost by the odd goal but could so easily have equalised late on.

No, think everyone's blowing smoke up Swindon's arses. They were below us in the table before today having played an extra match. The goals they scored resulted from awful defending on our part (Waterfall missing a header for the first, Crocombe bailing him out, nobody picking up the ball so they have another shot, Crocombe bailing them out again and then Efete going totally missing at right back leaving their striker free to tap home / Smith running under the ball instead of clearing it in the box for their second, letting their man in as a result who squared to an unmarked teammate for a tap in). Beside the opportunities gifted to them through our own poor play they created little and Crocombe otherwise had a quiet afternoon.

Going forward for the first 75-80 minutes we never constantly threatened which wasn't due to good defending from Swindon, but more due to terrible decision making and poor play from our attackers. The number of high balls we hung up today was absolutely ridiculous given the blustery conditions, and made it easy for their keeper and centre halves to defend. We also had the regular issue of looking clueless when we did break forward. Every time the ball went wide to Clifton, Kiernan and especially Efete they slowed attacks down by taking ponderous touches rather than playing quick incisive passes or early first time crosses. Khan and Glennon looked quite good for the first few minutes of the second half but then we seemed to revert to hoofing it into the wind until JMD came on and actually started to play some proper football on the deck.

The last ten minutes encapsulated the problems we've had in the box all season. We had at least three glorious chances and every single one was fired straight at their keeper because there doesn't seem to be anyone in the side capable of poaching goals and finishing clear cut chances clinically. So I'm standing by my original post, we chucked that game away, and didn't punish them when they went down to 10 men because we lack attacking intent (due to the players available in the squad, and Hurst's 'defend first, worry about creating chances later' approach to player selection which has worked well away but had meant we've struggled at home while some of our most effective attackers linger in the reserves or on the bench). McAtee getting back to fitness can't come soon enough for me, I'm getting very tired of these uninspired home performances.

I hope it has, would take him anyday over our two centrebacks given todays performance.
