I know you play all teams twice etc but there’s always an annoyance on fixture release day but I can’t see anything at all.

Cracking away to start, no good away days on a Tuesday, Donny on Bank Holiday, Harrogate Boxing Day

Bring it on!

29th December and 1st January both at home. Plenty of opportunity to keep the alcohol levels up then.

At least we finish the season at home, beating Wimbledon 6-0 to win the League

Harrogate away on Boxing Day is an unlucky break. BP would’ve been much better. Likely to be a supply of 600-700 tickets and a demand maybe 4 times that allocation.

Donny away on Easter Monday. That should be a great following, we took over 4000 last time. Especially if we are doing well. That's unless Yorkshire plod decide to limited our numbers!

In the days of the paper season tickets, you could call into the ticket office, they would take the relevant stub and give you two paper tickets, obviously only paying for one.

I'm not sure how it works now we are paperless but I would like to think there is a similar solution.

Think for the regular season our average away following was 883 and the top of L2’s equivalent was Bradford with 856. Ours would’ve been higher but for crap capacities, massively southern based league and overly zealous plod in some places. I’d be surprised if we don’t go straight to the top of that list.

A significant amount of our away games were ‘all ticket’ last year too which meant folk that would sometimes get their bottom in gear on a Saturday morning or have a couple Friday and decide to go, couldn’t.

I’m not saying it’ll be different this year but folk will probably move quicker for tickets given the number of STH.

Not in recent memory. Don’t know why they are so obsessed with sending us there on Tuesday nights. Why can’t they swap round Barrow and Hartlepool. Hartlepool is much more doable on a Tuesday and I’ve been there before!

With the money Northampton are throwing at it, second game of the season against Northampton will be a decent gauge of where we’re at early doors. First home again of the season, they’ll bring a decent following, good opportunity to create really bouncing atmosphere early doors and we’re right into the season.

Being entirely selfish, I’m delighted with the Tuesday night fixture. 20 miles from home, so this and Carlisle away are my two ‘home’ fixtures of the season and Barrow on a Tuesday gives me a fighting chance of getting a ticket.

Leyton Orient away, easy first 3 points

Orient fan passing through.  Possibly 3 points, but it won't be easy. Frankly we'd rather avoid promoted clubs at the start of the season when tails are up and confidence has yet to be knocked down a peg or two.   FL2 is harder now than ever before, there are no dodgy defenders, everyone is super fit and properly trained and there are few glaring weaknesses to be exploited. We know the NL was a tough place, we were there a couple of years ago, but FL2 is a whole new ball game.

Everyone does well at Brisbane Road, it's an institution for that.  Pre-season looks good and we just robbed Peterboro of £300k for Hector Kyprianou so maybe we can get close to break even this year.  I live in Croatia so I don't get down to E10 very often so no idea about pubs etc.   I do see the yuppies have moved in so a grotty terraced 2up-2down in an "inner city" area now fetches over £1/2 million.   Madness!
The stadium is mostly new with one side dating from 1940s but it has been tarted up this year.

Fair play to the Os but I’d expect strong home demand for the first game and its not as if we weren’t going to sell out anyway, so I’m puzzled at their choice of game to do this - it’s the kind of thing you do for Harrogate or similar. I’ve registered with the Os site - I can’t see any way I’ll get tickets for the away end.

Beats the hell out of us too, most of us think we'd sell out pretty much so why the half-price? All that did was to pee off the season ticket buyers. We have a new CEO, he's not exactly setting the world on fire like the last one did.

Here's a YouTube vid of our first day back, it gives an idea of the huge forward steps we've taken since we got out of the NL. If you get bored......  ;)

Sure a few fans discovered the canalside at Hackney Wick on the play off final day (there's an irony our 1st game back is at Brisbane road as i missed the play off final being in Brisbane for work!  :B) but in case not I'd suggest Hackney Bridge as a good place to hang out if its a sunny day - its a 2 storey bar surrounded by food vendors. 30 min walk through the olympic park to Orients ground.

We're not known for our noisy supportive fans, when we do well we say "and so we bloody should". If are doing badly then it's  "I always knew we were crap".  There are a few knuckle-draggers in the south stand but they are more offensive on the ears than anything else. It is a cash free stadium so bring your touch card for anything and everything.

When the National League release their fixtures we will have to keep an eye out for when York and LJL are at the Scunts. Help to fill the away end. Especially if Town are away that day and you can't get tickets.

Do the leagues still try to ensure that Town and Scunts aren't both at home on the same day? Was that a thing or am I dreaming it?
