Best performance by a Town midfielder in years. That is all.

He was excellent tonight

Fox was immense tonight, and covered every blade of grass on the pitch. Even after 115 minutes he was still determined to win every loose ball and had real fire in his belly leading by example.

Well worthy of MOTM.

A county player got MOM? Surely not? They were flipping dreadful.

First time I saw Fox after coming back from injury after the Notts league game was at Barnet when he came off the bench and it was like Hurst had a massive catapult and released him onto the pitch from a highly taut elastic band. I liked him before he got injured but there were question marks. He was present in our slump and he's been present in three man midfields that were out battled. However since coming back he's been absolutely superb and he's generally been in a two with Holohan. Holohan and Fox as a combo seem capable of doing the work that Hunt, Fox and Coke couldn't always do as a three earlier in the season. Holohan is a bit wasteful at times and often key times, but I also think he does a lot of graft that goes under the radar. Fox though since coming back has been pretty much faultless. Exactly what you want from a CM.

Yeah fox was absolutely utterly immense this match, and it showed how comical the 'experts' can be in my opinion. I often think fans opinion is underrated and this is one of the perfect examples of such.

Hopefully Wrexham underrate him as well...

He made it look easy tonight. Not just on the ball where he did the simple things well, but only because he made it with his running and his positioning. Off the ball, I thought he was superb, seemed ahead of the game and in their faces as either winning or as soon as they received the ball. We're still alive!

They don't, they thought him and Sousa were our 2 stand out players...

What is interesting is when looking at their forum he (Fox) is a universal candidate for motm. How  did they end up with the mullet boy as motm?! Shocking judgment from their "experts'

I'd genuinely give him 10/10. Struggling to think of anything he did wrong?? Even when he mis controlled it he resteadied himself and took it back from the opposition

They gave mom with a few minutes left to go and the tradition is pretty much always give it to a player on the winning side. If we were winning it would have been Fox hands down, because he was immense. First half he was the best player on the pitch by a mile and they said that.

The MOM was strange, I didn't notice Cameron at all. I thought Chicksen and Richardson were County's best players, particularly Chicksen who got better as the game went on and defended well while causing us problems going forward.

If we had hit the target with some of the shots we had this would have been much more comfortable - Holohan put one wide that the keeper just had to watch and hope.

And while I'm talking about hitting the target....Amos has to hit the right area with crosses and corners, too many sailed over the back post with not a Town player in sight.

Can someone tell me how the hell those pundits have their cb motm. For me I've never seen a cm performance like that since pouton, groves. What a performance

Noticed him but only because of that ridiculous haircut!

Easy to forget heโ€™s only 24 too.

Reminds me of Danny Andrew, both are far too good for this level but coming back from bad injuries.

Funnily enough, the only thing I can recall him getting wrong was hitting a tired, lose ball to Amos, which subsequently led to Amos being fouled and the free-kick from which we got the winner.

So even when he got it wrong, it was right. Absolute magic.

We just need to get him and a few others tied down regardless of whether we go up or not.

So much more effective now he doesnโ€™t have to fit in with a holding midfield player alongside most of his poor game games were played with Coke alongside

In defence of Coke, I was quite relieved to have him on the pitch for those final two minutes following our second goal. A couple of times the ball broke into what could have been dangerous positions, only for Coke to be just in the right place at the right time ready to mop it up.

As Town fans, we love players who show a bit of passion and I loved how he celebrated that late free kick we got after our winner like it was the final whistle.
