Totally agree. Even if we lose at Notts I feel like it's been a good season. Aslong as we don't lose without a fight!

Well done to everyone who travelled today.

We have a chance, let's not get the excuses in already. No complacency. No time for any "Even if we lose....."

One thing you can expect from a Paul Hurst team is for the players to leave everything on the pitch. Games like these are won and lost on a mistake. Let's hope that mistake is for the black and white of Notts County.

I think we’ll beat Notts County, then the Wrexham game is all on what Wrexham team turn up but it’ll be a big ask. Then the final is anyones game. Whoever it’ll be in the final we will outsell then comfortably and the fans could well be the 12th man.

Here’s hoping.

Whatever happens let’s enjoy it, it’s been a decent enough season and we definitely have something to build on next season no matter what division we are in.

The dreams alive, and its strange how weve finished 6th and i feel like this is a better squad than the two times we lost in the playoff semis last time. Really enjoyable season either side of a frustrating middle. We'd have all taken this at the end of last season. Really hope we play aswell as we know we can against notts. Utm

Absolutely done a fantastic job in galvanising a squad this season after last season's horror show .I expected mid table so it's a huge well done from me 🙏💪🔥

Regardless of what happens now this is a good finish. I know a couple of sides have come back up at the first attempt but this league is very different in terms of money spent and quality since Cheltenham did it, it’s not a given that you’ll get a play off spot when you come down either.

The beauty and cruelty of this play off set up, is anything can happen in one game.

One mistake, one moment of magic, one injury or one red card…. Anything can happen.

The pressure is on Wrexham - will they cope?

As for us, the squad has taken a hit in recent weeks with injuries but you can always trust us to not concede too many, which always keeps you in a game.

We know that we don’t score loads but when you don’t concede that many it’s not always the end of the world.

Here’s hoping anyway all. Hopefully 3 cup finals to go.

As history shows, Wrexham probably won't be able to cope. Did what we did by failing in 2 semi-finals and then getting to the final but losing. They choked for several seasons after that instead of pushing on again like we did to win the next playoffs.

The added media pressure, fan expectation and celebrity owners will be piling the pressure on them, we have nothing to lose in comparison and can just give it a good go. We have players capable of winning any game on their day so it'll all come down to getting a performance on the day. Leave Wrexham to stew in their pressure and having to face the media after humiliating their celebrity owners by losing.

After being dreadful for a couple of years, to find ourself back in the promotion mix at the first time of asking is a success…

It’s a very interesting point, regarding the pressure on Wrexham. On paper they have the best squad going into the play-offs, I don’t think anyone will dispute that.

But the expectation is huge. No matter their wealth, their current crop of players are still ‘lower league’ footballers at best; they’re not playing non-league football on the basis of superhuman mental resilience.

They have the added pressure of knowing that whatever happens won’t just be witnessed and judged by the supporters of Wrexham but quite literally millions of casual followers around the world via Amazon Prime. I suspect they have some big financial incentives resting on promotion, too.

Ultimately, today was a massive game for them. They blew it 3-0 against a Dagenham side not good enough to make the play-offs. Make of that what you will.

Wrexham are like the rest of us, human. They’ve had some awful results and equally have had some helping hands along the way. Today is an awful result for them, especially given they played a full strength side and there was something riding on it, albeit a slim chance of automatic promotion…

I wouldn’t be worried about Wrexham if we meet them and know they’re beatable.

They’ve had multiple failed attempts and have tried it every which way, added pressure this year, if they don’t go up then they’ll be scratching their heads as to how the intercourse they do it…

Wrexham fans slightly disappointed, incidentally.

Fully agree, we have done much better than was to be expected. Anything can happen in the play-offs. Well done to all. UTM!

Can I just confirm that the Paul Hurst we are lauding on this thread is the same Paul Hurst that a proportion of this board wanted sacking around January?

For all the money Wrexham have thrown at it and with our horrific mid-season wobble, they finished a whopping 11 points above us and only won 3 more games than we did.

For all the investment and splashing of cash in transfers and wages, I'd have expected more than 11 points above a side who didn't know their bottom from elbow 12 months ago.

We're in the play-offs on merit. We shouldn't fear anyone, nor do I believe we will.

It was all irrelevant in the end but Wrexham could have won the league yesterday if Stockport lost to a Halifax side gunning for 3rd place. Instead they lost 3-0 to a Dag & Red side that were praying Chesterfield lost. That suggests to me that the pressure may be weighing them down somewhat. I don't know all of their players but Tozee, Mullin and Palmer played the full 90 minutes.

One of them taking solace in "shipping 4 goals away at Eastleigh" - didn't check the team sheet then...

Sshhhh, don't tell them it was basically a reserves game and let them think that we fell off the wagon.

They can go to Wembley, I’d rather go to the London Stadium.

There's a handful of Wrexham fans around here, and most of them are apprehensive. "We're going to intercourse it up at the last minute like we always do" is the the predominant feeling.
