Hhmmm, I disagree. Seen enough of him to believe he isn't a particularly good finisher. Plenty of attributes but finishing wouldn't be high up the list.

Play to Lenny’s strengths and he’ll be a success, as that season proved, sadly, this season he just didn’t have what we needed, he’d lost whatever he had and that’s why Hurst moved him on…

A friend who lives in York went to this. (He had a free ticket)

Said he saw Paul Hurst there as well as Waterfall, Coke and Taylor who had gone to watch Lenny.

Thankfully, Waterfall didn't score for Chorley. :)

T'was a decent finish. Not your classic one on one - keeper needlessly charged out and LJL lobbed him from outside the corner of the box.

A crowd of 6,394 there to see York wn 2-1. Outstanding as this level. Higher than our gate against Boreham.

Tougher test on Sat away to 2nd team Brackley.  York players have little time to recover after a very demanding night.

The NL have agreed that by today (with only 48 hours notice) the match can be deferred until Sunday to avoid a clash with the FA Cup Final.  This needs both teams to agree.  I cannot see Brackley wanting this as by playing Sat they can take advantage of any tiredness that York players have.

Makes travel fans very difficult with the uncertainty.

New stadium isn't it - 8,500 capacity. Nice away day if they come up - might be our closest game the way things are going at Scunny.

I was surprised at the declared attendance for BHW - Kristine had announced the Stones and Pontoon as completely sold out, there were only 2-300 unsold in the Main and about 300 home fans in the Osmond (plus 12 away fans) so was expecting 6,500+. I wasn't there, but assume there must have been alot of no shows from community tickets again...

I had 2 spare seats to the right of me and 1 spare to the left in my seat in the Upper and there were quite a few spare seats dotted around too.

Next season perhaps the club should trigger the ST buyback once the Stones and Pontoon are sold out - the only two-together seats available in the Main for both the last two games were at the back, they are not classed at restricted view but they pretty poor - you lose the sight of the ball when it goes in the air. So people only have choice of those seats when premium seats are going spare because of no shows

No, the 2 either side of me are not ST's. I have 2 people who come from York (but not for every game) so I specifically chose a ST with just 1 either side of me between other ST holders so that when then come, more than often we can sit together as people don't always buy odd seats. The other spare seat was a ST no show though.

I see York sold out their away ticket allocation (600) for this weekend’s play-off semi-final at Brackley Town in just two minutes.

Final score Kiddy 1 -Boston 2. Danny Elliott scoring his 29th goal of the season.
lets hope Town can mirror that in our first playoff game.

I think Kiddy and Boreham Wood will be a force to be reckoned with their FA Cup money next season. It's a bit different for Forest as they are only 1 level off the top. Not sure about Boreham Wood but Kiddy are part-time so it's much more understandable that things took their toll.

You don't get the money until the end of the season but it is guaranteed so the directors may have loaned it. Looking at a few of their players, I guess that Dubai trip they went on was all inclusive...

I was very disappointed with them on Tuesday. I expected them to really have a go at keeping their slim play-off hopes alive.

I live in York but did not go to the Chorley game.  Just watched the highlights.  Excellent goal from The Shop and Paddy Mc MOM.  There were worse players than Paddy at Grimsby.

The atmosphere was electric and it sounded as if there were more than nearly 7,000 there.  York have a very good away following and sold all their 600 tickets in 3 minutes for away to 2nd place Brackley tomorrow.

  (A concern for them - and us if we beat County - is the short timespan before another tough away game.  A longer rest favours the home team).

Is is interesting to link cup success with league progression.  It worked for Lincoln and we will see with Boreham Wood.  Exeter made about £6 million from a sell on fee for Ollie Watkins and other sales.  It is only this month that they have been promoted.  Even with 4 promotion places.

At the top end money is not enough.  For success Excellent planning, management, teamwork, hard work and decision-making are needed from top to bottom.  Liverpool, Man City, Glasgow Rangers, Brentford and Brighton are good examples here. Some of the less fashionable Spanish teams and Ijax as well.

Man United and PSG (both teams a collection of dysfunctional individual mercenaries) who are not all prepared to give everything for the team.   2 examples of how bad things can go wrong, even with limitless money.

[Maybe Barcelona and Juventus now. Leeds also to a lesser extent. The Leeds owners were happy to let Bielsa have a very small squad, which could not cope with early season injuries.

Definitely favours the higher finish then if there’s no neutral venue…..even if Brackley failed to take advantage of being at home today and Kidderminster likewise the other night versus Boston
