Yeah, well done indeed. It’s funny because that’s exactly where I used to sit in the Pontoon at that age; C80 / 81. I reckon he’s a row back from there as I can see the ever present Johnny Ward just in front in some of the footage.

That vantage point brings back some brilliant memories of football at a higher level.

My lad is right behind him (in the blue coat) the celebrations from all we’re just fantastic, enjoyed that and thanks for sharing

It makes me think it will be hard to keep hold of McAtee if he keeps going like this, he didn’t seem to do much in the game but took his goal really well.

My ST seats are C79-81, with Mr Ward next to us l!

Fair play to the young lad being that age and doing something productive on the internet. I’d have been googling celebrity nip slip and praying my mum didn’t come in.

Great footage. Fair play to the lad. Atmosphere was superb. Shame about the comment aimed at Efete after his effort just before McAtee's goal.

Bloodyhell I watched this last night but didn’t really listen, I enjoyed the video but have just watched it again and shocked at the comment thrown at Efete after his miss. When will it ever stop!!! It’s drunk me right off now, these lowlifes need outing!

Thank you my friend. I accept that, and let that be the end of it. I so hope people are mishearing the comment. It would be utterly appalling if it was, as some are hearing it, a racist yell. Really upsetting and angering if it is a racist shout. Absolutely abhorrent in all forms, everywhere in society. Efete is beloved and a hero to us. If he thought he heard a racist shout I would be utterly ashamed and beside myself like the rest of us. UTM

I hope Mariner Hodo does win an award. I think it’s really positive and creative for a teenager to be producing such engaging and positive internet content.

There have been a number of youngsters providing this kind of video on Town in recent years, and almost without exception they have been really good. They have become my go-to source for getting the true atmosphere of the game, and l think they make a great contribution. The editing skills, etc that they acquire must stand them in very good stead in a future career. Hodo seems to have outlived them all. Good luck to him!

There was absolutely no reaction from the Pontoon that I am aware of, and such a ludicrous and terrible thing to say would have brought condemnation from all quarters of the Pontoon.

Slow the audio down to 0.75. It is clear what was said. If you believe you heard fat then I don't dispute that. He clearly didn't say fat.

If he said what you allege he would have been evicted. There is no way a shout like that, in complete isolation and so far removed from the general thrust of Towns amazing support would not have been acted upon.

If you hear it different then fair enough and we will never know for sure.

For what it’s worth, I’ve just listened it to it 4 times at the slower speed, and I”m convinced that he said “fat”. In that case, I’d have thought it’s not even aimed at a Town player. It’s quite likely that there’s cognitive dissonance at play here (for the psychologists among you!😉).

It's actually a tricky one . If your listening for Fat that's what you hear . If your listening for black it sounds like that too . I've gave it 10 listens and after been positive it was black I'm not sure now tbh

All opposition goalies are fat, especially when they take a goal kick! And in this case he was a fat illegitimate for keeping Efete's shot out according to the shout, in my opinion, both in real-time and listening to the video.

I'm sure some audio expect can sort this out though .

I’m insinuating that he wants a reason to slag the fans off while showing what a great person he is. Hence why he found something out of absolutely nothing

It's just gone off on a tangent due to some fans thinking the worst about somebody, whilst some of us think it was nothing of the sort. I don't think anybody would be daft enough to shout out at the top of their voice what was alleged but only he knows the truth.

When I watch such stuff I do wonder....imagine if we had such technology earlier in my ln my lifetime...Brolly scoring 2 against Everton, Wilko against Everton, Drinkall against Sheff Utd, Fulham play offs, Burnett at Wembley.....etc
The crowds, the atmosphere, those moments, largely only caught in the minds of those that were there.
I cried my eyes out in 98 when the team walked out for the firsttime , the first time only happens once and back then you were there or you missed it.
Hats off to any Vloggers capturing todays action.

What you hear is what you hear...sounded black to me ....however was clearly not from the person making the vlog and probably 5 rows back, so whatever was said I think it's important to clarify nothing to do with the person creating the video.

After watching and playing back several times it is 100% clear to me it is fat bástard NOT black !
There is no place for any racist behaviour in football or indeed any society.
I honestly believe that those amongst us that believe it was a racist slur should maybe go to spec savers ( for a hearing test)

Fair enough if some of you think the person says fat, and I stated in my first statement that I didn’t even hear it. I only listened in again once someone else had mentioned it and because of that comment I maybe was swayed into hearing of black. I don’t know, I still hear it but it’s very difficult I admit. I’m sorry if I’ve upset people but it certainly wasn’t my intention. As for Mariners Hodo’s videos, I’ve been watching them for weeks as they are so good. Great to see a lad and his mates having such a good time and they really capture the atmosphere at the matches. UTM.

Hi all, we have looked, and listened, to Mariner Hodo's video, numerous times, in particular the section where people are saying that there was racist language used. We can only hear someone shout, questioning the waistline and parentage of the goalkeeper. This was a recurring shout throughout the half. If we, as his parents, had any doubt about it we would have got him to, at least, edit it out.

Love all of your kind words about his vlogs and he loves doing them. Hopefully he will break the internet with a vlog of us winning the play off final.
