Joint top scorer Andrew Dallas on the bench for them tonight. Joe Sbarra has 14 from midfield mind. Between them they have scored half of Solihull’s goals.

Solihull playing some nice football, but Harry's nice little prod at their near post gives us an unexpected lead and probably undeserved. Our new midfielder delivered a  crunching tackle on Jamie Osbourne who went down screaming!! Not much atmosphere here tonight, feels a bit flat, but who cares we're winning!!

Wrexham spanking Halifax 3-0 now. It’s looking increasingly like a Stockport / Wrexham 1 / 2, which could have been predicted at the start of the season but looked so unlikely for much of the first half of the season.

Oh ffs. Bad result tonight and one we could ill afford, but turning around a team from more or less scratch in probably the strongest non-league division of all time is no small task.

I can’t be arsed to rake over the coals of the rights and wrongs of last season, but we’re about par for the season I’d say.

We’d have had a much better chance of the play-offs had we won tonight, but it hasn’t disappeared entirely. Another big game on Saturday. No need for melodrama.

He’s been shite and/or came up short everywhere he’s been.

6 years to take Grimsby Town out the conference is far too long. He got there in the end but that’s not even success for me but bare minimum at best.

Best time was at Shrewsbury but couldn’t finish the job.

Totally flopped at Ipswich

Totally flopped at Scunny

Got us relegated

Start of another 6 years in the conference

God this is so disappointing.
Another season losing to sides who can't even muster 100 fans away from home, play at excrement home grounds and have only non league history.
I still hope against hope we can get in the playoffs and win them.
If we don't our owners need to have a long look at things on the pitch rather than off it and look at what the top sides are doing in this league and sort out a model closer to that.

So the Hurst out mob will spend the time until we win again self gratifying each other, we’re all disappointed with tonight’s result but after the decline in the last few seasons and the mess Runaway made anyone who expected us to come straight back up clearly believed the PO final is played on fantasy island.

You build a side to get promoted and that’s the process we’re in now.

With six play off spots available and over seeing a team with parachute payments and very good attendances for this level then anything less than a play off spot is not acceptable.

I don't agree entirely and I think it's a myth used by people who want to try and defend Hurst's record. Good managers get out of this league quickly. Challinor took over a side languishing just outside the play offs and they're now running away with the league. The Cowleys took over a Lincoln side that had just finished 13th and got them to champions in one season. Gary Johnson took over at Cheltenham in the March before they went down but took them back up as champions immediately. Christ, Ian Evatt only took two seasons to get Barrow(!!!) promoted..

Just read that Kyle Hudlin is the tallest outfield player in Britain (6ft 9 in’s) - not a bad option to bring on.
Presumably Waterfall, Pearson and Smith too small to deal with this threat?

Im not sure on that. Maybe a point was fair. I wouldnt say they were better than us

They were better where it matters. They have scored 10 more goals than us from one less game and that's the difference in our league positions.

The point was were they a better side? They wernt

We gifted them 3 points with poor finishing and lacklustre defending.

They are higher in the league than us, have scored more goals and beaten us twice. I'd say that is pretty conclusive.

Be honest everyone. Over the 90 minutes, we were beaten by a better side albeit we had improved up till Efete’s injury. Certain players aren’t up to this level, some are out of form.

Ive seen us play them twice. They are not better than us.

We just have a knack of losing games when we shouldnt and we arent learning from it.

Im as frustrated as you, but we havent lost tonight to a better side

Just have a think about the highlighted part.

I respect your view and you are always quick to defend the team, which is commendable, but they are and were better than us. The league table says so.

We’ll have to agree to disagree😂

I just want to believe- maybe deluding myself- into thinking we arent a million miles away from being a good side. Just clinging on to a bit of hope of the P’offs and a miracle from

I can’t think of a better side that I’ve seen this season, they caused us more problems than Chesterfield, Wrexham and Halifax.

I'd call it a draw , but...

We all want to believe, but you have to face reality.

You're right, we aren't a million miles away and that makes it even more frustrating. Being nearly there is almost worse than being nowhere.

They’ve literally beaten us home and away and are above us in the league

Are you feeling okay?

Feeling fine mate. Ive not seen to date any team conclusively outplay us in this league.

Fully aware im in the minority but if we all agreed it’d be boring

Outplayed for 45 in the first half plus last 15 in the second. They move better and knock the ball about better. They are coached better, their midfield win key battles. Their manager can problem solve and affect games with the use of substitutions. They have taken all 6 points off us this season. As sad as it is, they are just a better side.

Lackluster, it was garbage defending, the first we never got to them then a poor save by Crocombe straight to the scorer.

The second another shocker from Waterfall who had no idea where the scorer was. Just a shame we didn't have any fans in the Osmond they might have shouted "he's behind you"

Thought Town were playing a team 2 league's higher than them first half .We didn't lay a glove in them until the goal .Played better for 20 minutes of the second half. But I think they were much slicker than us .
