Saturday 8th January is our first bye week because of the National League being a team short this season. It’s also the 3rd Round weekend of the FA Cup.

Chesterfield & Yeovil are already through to Round 3 meaning Stockport & Wealdstone are now without a fixture.

If Boreham Wood see out their 2nd Round match with St Albans tonight (1-0 up at half-time) then Wrexham too will be without a fixture on Saturday 8th January.

Surely it would be a great opportunity for our away game at Wrexham currently scheduled for Tuesday 25th January to be brought forward 17 days and played on a Saturday instead?

A good idea?

I think it's a good idea if Wrexham are up for it, it will make for a bigger attendance with it being on a Saturday rather than Tuesday night.

Seems like a good idea to me. Good for both sets of fans and the clubs and also an early chance for us to do the double on Wrexham.

If we were to lose to Stockport in the FAT, we could be 3 weeks without a game.

I wouldn’t mind a Saturday without disappointment though…

No Saturday games on 25th December or 1st January so knock yourself out.

Yes it is a good idea. Expect North Taffia Police to put the mockers on it.

Sounds like a great idea! Do you have any clout with the powers at be??

Don’t be so daft!

When have good ideas like this ever made sense. Why on earth would the fa/national league agree to something so utterly utterly sensible.

Article 18.j.72.a.88 states clearly that: ideas that are contrived on a forum and full of good sense, will immediately be discredited unless there’s something in it for us

Seriously though, am sure that btsport would probably go for it too as they wouldn’t (if am right in thinking) have a game that weekend.
