There's a number of reasons for our recent slump in form and for me the inexperience in the middle of the team is one of them.

Aside from Clifton, there is barely a player in our midfield with a proper season behind them. In fact for some, this is the most football they've ever played. Coke was clearly meant to be the elder statesman around who the others flourished but it just hasn't happened for him this season.

Mix the inexperience with the chopping and changing of personal and formations and it's no surprise we lacked cohesion and confidence today.

Hurst has done brilliantly to put a squad together so quickly that is capable of challenging but the lack of experience and the fact we don't have a proper left winger/left midfielder seems to stifling us going forward.

Only seen a couple of games this season but I thought Clifton was much improved with the ball at his feet when I saw him against Notts County. He is wasted filling in on the left side.
