Tuesday I was going down the A180 when  L 7 UTM  passed me. I started to think ( yes I do have a brain ) how many  UTM registrations are there and who are they?

Does anybody on here have  L 7 UTM ?

And anybody else have one?

Each to their own but I’ve always seen private number plates as the best indicator that someone has too much money.

Not necessarily. I have a private number plate LE58 REC. Only cost me the least you could pay for a private number plate as it means nothing to anyone else.

I've had my private plate A11ARR for about 30 yrs. I bought it on an old banger for £450 with the car and sold the car for nearly the same price,so mine wasn't expensive. I'm not rich but I find at my age ( I'm an old codger ) that it's very handy, especially when I park the car and walk half a mile to get a  parking ticket, if I hadn't had the same number for all those years I'd have to walk back half a mile to the car coz I wouldn't remember the registration by the time I reached the ticket machine. ;)

Always found private number plates too expensive so I went for the cheaper option and changed my name by deed poll to KP64WTM.

I had the reg no. B100 ODD on my MG Montego back in 1980's, it was in black had the digital dashboard and spoke brought from Arlington motors on Victoria Street. All my mates had XR3i or peugeot 205 GTi. Whilst working at Citizen I had use of a Granda scorpio cosworth 2.9 24v V6 that could shift, before speed cameras, sorry I meant Police road safety unit. Then got with my ex and had to downgrade to a tin can Maestro did my best to right off on the way to Stoke in 1990, straight into a hedge near Matlock, tractor pull us out, no stuctural damage, off we went. The game ended in a 0-0 with Stoke fans invading the pitch.

You really should go the extra mile and start a campaign to get everyone chanting "Wahey The Mariners"

I have to put my hands up and admit to my hypocrisy.
Always thought of them as pretentious cockwomblery until my Girlfriend bought me one for my 60th.
Been watching Hamburger SV for years and she got me G5 HSV which fits perfect as my initials are GS.
Have to admit that I love it.

Disagree my friend. Which bit of  UpThe Mariners is not about Town and being able to identify with fellow supporters, while travelling around beit in locally or elsewhere.

Now you're talking - I loved my 205 GTi back in the day (only a 1.6 as couldn't afford insurance on 1.9) !!

I had the 1.9 CTI convertible
First car I ever bought, couldn’t afford to eat or go out for 6 months because of the monthly payments but what a car! Sold
It 2 years later and got a Renault 25 V6 fantastic car when it worked
The 205 is worth a fortune now
