The Poppy Shop (British Legion) are selling specialist poppy (pin) badges, the football poppies include Grimsby Town!

There is a picture of the club badge, next to a poppy with 2021 shown.  It looks very smart and contributes to an excellent cause.

I see that delivery charge is £3.99. Shame we can't club together and buy quite a few of them as postage is free over £40, which is only 8 or 9 badges.

Anyone else up for buying one?

I'm willing to order them and distribute them at the Notts County game if there is the interest.

The Club Shop has sold them in previous years. Don't know about this year though?

I didn't realise the club shop sold them. I'll get mine from there on Saturday then as long as they have some left.

A fellow veteran, I was in 1st Battalion (Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire), The Royal Anglian Regiment.

I was walking on Stanage Edge in the mist and cloud on Monday and was greeted two young fellas who had just walked up from the 'city of Hathersage' after driving up from Cambridge. Listening to their American accents, I asked if they were from the University. 'No we're from the military, we try to go somewhere interesting on our rest days like Scotland, Europe etc.'

I was again impressed by how engaging, polite and friendly so many young Americans are. They epitomised the 'can do' approach. My ex R,A,F. brother said I should have asked them if they were based at Mildenhall.
