Sheff Wed away , we’ll take 7000 fans like last time we played them in the Cup.
Yeah we’d probably lose but we can get on with the title chase and have had a good away day

If it isn’t Scunny at home this would be ideal for me. Big away day and pay day and as you say more than likely crack on with the league.

So next Saturday will be Yeovil’s fifth game in 15 days. Half our team will be refreshed having had two weeks break. Has to be a big advantage for us.

Some NL teams struggling today, Wrexham, Notts Cty, Halifax, Torquay,  and Dover. Aldershot and Woking, who we beat, are both knocked out.

Just shows that we have a squad in depth and as someone posted only 1 man on the pitch who started last week. TBH I don't think any team in any league will fancy drawing us, particularly at home.

It is also gnawing away at me that we cannot be drawn against Beavers.  We are lucky though as would never get past their solid static defence.  We would be in deep water.  Damn.

A win against Scunthorpe in the first round would certainly wind the pressure up a notch on Messrs Swann & Cox.

If it was away, there is a possibility that we could also outnumber them or do people think they would make an exception and turn up for that game?

Personally, I would like to avoid the bigger clubs for a couple of rounds.

AFC Sudbury would be good but it's a plastic pitch. They play in the Isthmian North - so like Grimsby Borough. Let's not be disrespectful. I've seen them play a couple of times and they're no mugs.

I also know two of their players both of whom are really good lads.

If we get a lower placed team it’ll be similar to yesterday; damned if we do and damned if we don’t…

We get a decent league 1 outfit, good away day no will probably have heard of them but likely to lose. Whilst the league is of paramount importance we can’t underestimate the value of a good cup run…

I'm all for a good cup run as long as we don't pick up injuries along the way. Promotion is the target season and nothing should get in the way.

Lower end team for the next two games then chance our arm at a money spinner.

I don’t know about anybody else though but the thought of United away only appeals for the money, the gulf in class is so wide that the game would almost certainly be thoroughly unenjoyable, just as Chelsea was a few seasons ago.

The thing is with a big prem side away yes as mentioned and as like away at Chelsea apart from the day out and the visit to a top side and ground the game itself was no contest

On the other hand at home in Round 3 v a big prem side a packed BP could well be a different story

Still let’s get through round 1 eh!!

Given the mastermind behind those cottage pies died last year, I think it’s safe to say it would have been a breach of food hygiene regulations if he hadn’t replaced.

Mid table a division below, got to be happy with that. Their fans appear to be even less enthused than us so not as if we’ll be walking into a cauldron of noise. Seem to think we’ve not got too bad a record there either. Would almost prefer to have them away where they’ll want to attack than at home where they’d sit back, aim to frustrate and nick a winner or replay.

As others has said it is certainly a tougher test than Bromsgrove Sporting, but we are top of the league let's remember and Kidderminster are mid table of the league below so we will go in as favourites of course and we should really still have enough to beat them but at the same time I am conscious that it is a potential bannana skin

If we set up like we did yesterday in terms of us shape and organisation I'd expect us to win, looking at the prize money and profile in the 3rd round I'd also expect PH to field a bit more of a stronger side though it has to be said yesterday's starting 11 did played well.

Never mind the BBC , let's take 1,000+ and have a good noisy day out... just no flares, smoke bombs or jumping onto the pitch please...

AFC Sudbury v Colchester Utd - a local derby with a good chance of a massive upset must be likely to be on the box. Sudbury's 3G pitch could give Col U some problems.

Scunny v Doncaster would be another local derby and Lincoln v Bowers and Pitsea would be good TV fodder (also a colour clash as both play in red and white stripes).
