Can't imagine it's much as it's the Beeb (licence fee/public service etc.), but I'd think there'd be a bit of money involved.

Winner gets £18,750, loser £6,250.

Not sure on TV money [But 1st Rd ties get £67,500 each]  Suggest about £25,000 each ?

Plus we get 45% of gate receipts less costs.


So a probable £50,000 up for grabs if we win. [£37,500 if we lose]

Last season the red button 1st round games earned each team £12500, so I'm guessing it's less than that.
