I have seen him play a couple of times and he has looked really good. I know City think highly of him but wonder how long he would have to wait to get many first team opportunities. He's a local lad (Salford) no idea if he was a red or blue growing up.

Foden was a boyhood fan so waited patiently for his chance. McAtee still only 18 but at some point will need proper football (not academy). Whether that is at City or perhaps out on loan time will tell. If theyre turning down £8M now would suggest any loan is going to be Championship level or higher.

But a McAtee-McAtee strike team sounds good.
