That were amazing highlights by Altincham. Very enjoyable. They should be proud of their work.

What I did think was good was the fade to black in between highlights.

It nicely broke up the highlights and separated random sounds from the commentary team and/or crowd

Excellent highlights and showed the 2 McAtee chances at 3-1 up. Just a shame they got the score wrong at the final whistle.

That's outstandingly packaged, and the commentators are even fair to both teams, which in itself is highly unusual! Along with their manager's impressive interview and the way he wants his team to play, I think Altrincham are an impressive club. They deserve to do well.

Ref being overly harsh with a young player for no reason, really don't get it. He didn't even do a lot for the first over than being a bit over zealous trying to get in front of the guy, at most a quick word telling him to calm down would be fine. It's not like he was constantly being told and then got booked, it was his first foul all night. People can go on about the rules on the second and the fact he jumped but he had no chance to retreat and the ball was thrown directly at him on purpose, what was the player who threw it trying to do? He wasn't blocked from reaching a player on his team unless he was attempting to throw to the player surrounded by blue shirts, he wasn't even the person who ended up taking the throw in so god knows what he was doing other than throwing the ball at Bapaga.

He's way over zealous with showing cards, in 5 National League games he's shown 12 yellows and sent off 1 for two bookings which is Bapaga. He also referees PL under 23's games and in one game he booked 7 players and sent one off for a second booking, the game before he booked 5. Clearly gets off on showing cards and inserting himself into the game even when he's refereeing reserves games. Seems like a regular thing for him, last season he refereed a total of 27 games and showed 74 yellows and 4 straight reds.

The thing that gets me most about the first Bapaga booking is that he seems to have given it for repeatedly “pulling” (in inverted commas as he didn’t do much pulling) the player back. So effectively in trying to let the game run it has resulted in him booking Bapaga, so if he blows for the first “foul” then there is still a free kick but he doesn’t book Bapaga. So not only is it very harsh as a booking it also could’ve been avoided. That’s definitely a place where some sort of common sense should have been applied.

Steven Copeland also made a controversial decision on Saturday, when he gave a penalty to Boreham Wood for a shot hitting a defender on the shoulder. Cost Eastleigh 2 points, described by Chris Hargreaves as 'very harsh'.
