Anybody over that side of the Pennines any updates on how we're looking weather wise? The forecast looks bad but not half as bad as it looked yesterday so I'm pretty hopeful that we'll be watching a game tonight

It's near Manchester. It's raining.

If it isn't raining it will be soon.

I’m 35 miles away from Altrincham and there’s been ‘light drizzle’ all day.

Is that the same as ‘Lemon Drizzle’?😎

It was dry on my bike ride into work this morning and my lunchtime crusade across Piccadilly Gardens( For those wondering I'm still alive and in one piece). Should be okay although we did have heavy showers last night in Trafford so fingers crossed we don't get similar this afternoon.

Am at Manchester airport and it’s very moist!
Suddenly went over all dark and dreary about 20 mins ago

It's a brand new pitch which they are proud of so one would think that any drainage issues were addressed first.

Next variable would be covers. I would guess that smaller clubs would be unlikely to have the staff to deploy them. May be wrong but did they used to have a deal with Man U. for U23 or Womens teams to share?

Club(Altrincham) have tweeted that they do not expect a pitch inspection to be required,  So on that basis I'll wait for the rearranged fixture!!🤭

Lol, no it was a light hearted reference to ‘old school’ Soccer am.

Live and work in the city centre, it's been wet most of the day, but stopped for now.

Forecast looks pretty minging for later, so wrap up in those waterproofs.

Just stopped at services 35 miles from the ground. Spray from the motorway makes it look worse than it is although its rained non stop for last hour. Forecast to stop raining couple of hours before kick off so not concerned - yet

Currently at the ground, Brightening up a bit, trip over not too bad, certainly nothing torrential as the BBC were promising.

At the time of typing this (5.50pm) Accuweather claims light rain for the next 2 hours with heavier rain for 5 or 10 minutes at about 7.15pm

You’d think after the last 2 games the players would be used to the torrential rain
