I've been replaying that Max Wright goal in my head for the past 24 hours, but seeing it on the highlights, it is even better than I remember it!

He was ten yards inside his own half when he challenged for the ball, then he out sprinted the defender but kept the ball under such close control that he was able to run it around the keeper before stroking it into the net.

I don't think that there are many Town players in recent years who could combine that explosive pace with such great control and cool finishing. It was fantastic.

Anyway, enough time posting, I'm off to watch it a few dozen more times!

Strange that 'Red Passion' forum had them up 45 min before our OS?

Hope they didn't mind the passion of the home commentary!

Indeed, superb one-two, great pace from Sousa and a wonderful delivery.

That is a thing of absolute beauty. Almost better than the highlights themselves.

Naturally, the game itself had some brilliant moments but the cinematic quality of that video at times is superb. Some fantastic angles of all the goals, but in particular Town's two in the first half. Huge respect to all involved.

Shout out in particular to the lad who had to leg it from just in front of the PA box to the corner of the Lower Findus to capture some footage of the players celebrating Max Wright's goal, all the while filming the celebrating Pontoon. You could almost feel the breathlessness.

Magnificent carnage. May this go on for as long as possible - fùcking love it.

Players look so up for it as well. Waterfall looks like a man poasessed and it's a great sign when all of the players seemed delighted for Max Wright to havwe got the third.

The club first post them on the club's youtube channel so keep an eye on that in future.

Some Wrexham fans not happy with the quality of their own clubs offering.

But when did cinematic quality and fanastic angles get you...

Like another world isn't, everything from before now just seems the equivalent of some seedy 70s Ron Jeremy movie...

The cross was like watching one from Oster “back in the day”. So difficult to defend coming flat and at pace.

To be fair, they’ve been doing this for a few years, on and off. But clearly someone has had the sense to say “this is brilliant, let’s do this every match”.

It’s basic modern marketing. When you have nights last night, you want it shared on social media. There’ll be duff weeks, not every match will play out like last night, but it pays for itself and then some whenever the drama arrives. Which so far, has been pretty frequent.

Just watched that and I think you’re right.

3 great goals. Maxy kept his cool well. I noticed on the highlights their defender reached out to touch his back, which must have been potentially distracting. Clever trick by the defender because I can see how some players might be thinking “do I keep going or fo I go down? I’m entitled to go down” which must cause doubt in the attacker’s head and potentially throw him off.

There’s so much to enjoy about Town these days that it’s hard to know where to begin.

Off the pitch we’ve replaced the antiquated ticketing system, which has definitely had a positive effect on attendances (although a winning team also helps). There’s the fan zone, improved catering, and that’s just the benefits we get - there’s also everything the players are getting, like improved training facilities, gym equipment, etc.

There’s so much more that I haven’t mentioned and we’ve only been under new ownership for four months!

Aside from the goals and victories, we’ve got decent highlights from the GTFC video crew plus Liam’s match day moments (which, for me, as someone who can’t make games at the moment, help me feel as though I’m there).

Everything that’s happening is bringing us closer together. The team looks tight, the fans can relate to them - again, little things like players giving their shirts to kids at the final whistle… all of it is contributing to this ‘Greater Together’ mantra.

It’s totally awesome and long may it continue. We haven’t achieved anything yet, some might say. But to me we’ve achieved the most important thing of all: valuing the fans.

We are respected again. And we’re showing up in numbers. Honestly, the positivity that’s flying around at the minute is seriously translating to the players. That much is evident. They all seem to be playing at the top of their game.

Another good touch I noticed last night. After years of bottlenecks trying to get for a half time whiz, there are now 3 portaloos outside the end of the corridor, which reduced the numbers blocking the area around the trust bar/bottom of the stairs to the upper. Little touches that are so simple but make a big difference.

Going back to the video, it was a clear foul for their goal. A tackle from behind, yes he might touch the ball, but he was always going to get the man as well. And I thought they were suppose to be clamping down on the tackle from behind.

Wow. I can see why.

Picture quality is terrible. Like what channel 5 used to look like when it first came out on old tele's.

No sound on it until the clip that shows Max's goal.

And camera almost lets play slip out of view a couple of times.

Thankfully, our highlights uploads and particularly the "Matchday Moments" are quality.

All 3 of our goals would have fit in at a higher lever ,Max was cool as a cucumber with his finish.
That pass that set up their goal was also perfect .
If we see football like this every week in this league then it’ll be a great ride

This thread, especially the vids which are absolutely brilliant, shows how the club has moved on from a person who thought he knew what he was doing to owners who know what they are doing. From amateur to professionals.

May the good times roll on and the last 16 years banished to the back pages of history books. The matchday moment vid shows what we now have as a club, belief by the players and a new passion from the fans, something I was brought up on decades ago.

Perhaps it’s also sure to the fact that whilst people are clearly happy in their work at the club, perhaps it’s also linked to the raising standards and recognition that the fans are indeed, actually important and therefore ‘it’ll do’ isn’t good enough…

I agree but the more I see the challenge for the corner for our second goal it looks like a double deflection and a goal kick so perhaps they evened out. ;)

Really enjoyed both the highlights and the extra stuff, it really looks like the club and Hurst are building something special ! Great movement and energy , well taken goals, fantastic support and that magical night match atmosphere, wish I could have been there. On to Saturday and more of the same please, it will soon difficult to get hold of a ticket, Blundell Park is the place to be again UTM

Absolutely brilliant This team would be top 6 in Div 2 at the moment I just hope the manager doesn't start flipping about and tinkering with the line up. Please keep it as it is as long as possible Sousa and Taylor are superb and have an understanding already. That driven corner from Hunt was something we haven't seen for a long time. I think LJL will be back in soon but hopefully only on the bench, surely he won't interfere with things yet

The finish from Waterfall was brilliant. If that was Maguire or Kane, it would be in repeat constantly.

Can't see any reason why the Hunt-driven corner onto Waterfall's head can't be replicated each game...and it's tough to defend.

And once the opposition are expecting that, I'm sure Hunt could whip one in at the near post for Taylor to finish off.

A team with a credible threat from corners never feels out of the match - which makes them that bit harder to beat.

Win three league games in a row early season: you might well be chasing promotion later on. Lose three on the trot and a relegation dogfight likely beckons.
Win three consecutive games coming from behind each time is a bit more special, as were our goals.

And the player I got most enthusiastic about pre-season - Ben Fox - is yet to feature much,  though I'm sure he will.

Looking good to me.  :)

I love the matchday moments.  That's the view i'd have if I weren't so far away.  Might try to get home for Christmas to get a game in.

Waterfall's header looks better the more you watch it.  Type of header you see in those old footie mags.  No keeper was gonna stop that. In fact, he made a damn good effort.  Delivery was superb but you still have to bury it.  McAtee for me is top top drawer.  Skill, determination and team spirit. His dummy was sublime for the first goal.

Brilliant, just brilliant. Renewed my interest which had really been flagging.
Would be great if we could extend the loans to the end of the season but at last we seem to have a team to be proud of. It will clearly be a rocky road and in all of the division the no teams set off at the pace they do in the National League.
Six games in and several unbeaten teams!
It will be the thick end of 90 points to win this league I suspect which gives you very little breathing space and Draws are okay for the playoffs But a league winning team needs to win a lot of games. Still believe there should be three up and this should be the fifth level of the pyramid. Looking back at the history of Wrexham they have had one excellent season and it was cruel that they were not promoted. What has been magical this season, is that we actually do look a good team. It is very easy to flattered to deceive and get some good results in this league.I have only seen the home games but in each game we have played some good football And finally we look aggressive and difficult to play against. In the last few years I think we have been a physically weak team, this team is a marked contrast at that and looks ready for war in each game I have seen utm

I do think it's odd that the chance they had which led to the double block from crookes isn't shown. Its like in the Stockport highlights were they cut out the best Stockport first half chance  for some reason.

I know club highlights will always stress what they've done well but I don't want them airbrushing games too much and besides that was really good defensive work from crookes.

Love the “clear foul” comment just before they scored.  We should have won 3-0 and declared after 90 mins.
