Love the new song by the way!

Could someone clarify the words for me? Took me a few goes yesterday to try work it out... Am I close (below) :

Who's that team they call Grimsby
Who's that team we all adore
It's the famous Black and whites
And we're f***ING dynomite
And we don't answer to fenty anymore.

That last line doesn’t scan well if it’s correct

If we’re having an anti Fenty song can’t we just sing ‘Fenty is a girl private

Bad language in front of the siblings you need to remove the offensive word Fenty, and insert the word He

For those of us unfortunate not to be there yesterday, what is the song/tune that these words are sung to? it would help the rest of us to join in this great new song!….could it be Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen? Beethoven’s fifth symphony? AC/DC whole lotta Rosie?

From the meter I’d guess it was the same tune as “we are the lads, we’re Buckley’s army, we’re not going to win the Cup, but we don’t give a fûck, cos the Town are going up ….”

I grew up for years thinking we sung “stand up if you hate your kids” whenever we played anyone from Yorkshire 🤷🏼‍♂️

Haha I was singing "and we don't LIKE Fenty anymore" thinking to myself that we never really ever liked him but HAVE  makes much more sense haha. I'll admit I had no idea what the second line was either and was just sort of mumbling my way through that bit.

Brilliant.

My lad spent the Euros singing Three Lions with the lyric:

30 years of Hurst!

Kudos for knowing it was from the ACW. Most of us oldies know it as Ally’s Army (Scotland song for World Cup 1978 youngsters).

I suspected it might be a hymn tune.

Pontoon sound good from the UF last night.  Even the Main Stand were singing - when they were not asleep, bless them.
