Peterborough promoted - it seems that there was a promotion clause in Dembele's transfer, and Town are now due £100.000.

Can anyone confirm this is right as it seems that their leading scorer has also earnt his previous club over  £150.000  - Clarke-Harris.

If this proves right, that's a big help going forward to next season !

Rumour or truth ??

Yeah, it's true. Well, it's come from an interview with Darragh MacAnthony in the Peterborough local rag earlier in the week, so you'd assume it's true.

Hope this is just a small taste of things to come. If he’s sold for say, £2m, which is a pretty conservative estimate given some of the numbers flying about, we’d pocket £475k on top of this £100k.

That’s the equivalent of shifting over 1900 season tickets at £300 a chuck. It’s massive, considering what we’re going into.

Well to be fair to whoever negotiated the GTFC side of this, they did it well.

If big money upfront transfers are getting rarer and rarer these days from the smaller clubs, due to players being picked up cheaply when they haven't fully developed, then a share of future success is a win win for both parties

Sounds genuine from Peterborough too

Just checking regarding FFP, is it still in use or are we on some other financial system now, so can we actually use this £100k for players?

If you mean the wage cap which fenty voted for in an attempt to drag other clubs down to our level of non ambition it was ruled illegal recently I believe, and only applied to the EFL anyway.

If we get this extra money would it be nice to get JSF a going away present  ??) ??) ??)

Boo, this must be Fenty’s fault!

£100,000 put into the youth development fund would help to recruit and train better potential future players?

Look at how many have started to push through - invest to try to gain more Dembele deals in the future?

Nothing wrong with being a young player development and selling club if we get maybe 2 good seasons each out of them.

No more leech journeymen !!

Win, win - money wise !

Provided the team that’s just been relegated from the Football League that will get the £100k from them is us   ;)
