I notice on the BBC sport website that the EFL have announced plans for squads in league one and two next year to have a maximum of 20 players. Good job that didn't apply this season!

But on a serious note how can that be possible? No idea of the finer details like how many young players can be included, but how can you have such a small squad? Premier league is 25, surly if they want to do this in EFL you do the same? A couple of injuries and you are in right trouble.

I know it probably won't apply to us for now, at least for one season, but it will improve the value of players like Hewitt and Clifton!

I'd expect "home grown players"  (players brought through a youth system or under the age of 21) won't count towards the 20...but it's the EFL so who knows!

PFA already saying they will challenge it in court if needs be due the possibility of a champ club having a dozen players they may have to pay under contract but cant use as not enough places to register them if they got relegated.
